We're back!

What an awesome trip! We had such a great time and we caught so many fishe! We ended up bringing 217 lbs home with us but we could have brought so much more!

Things we learned:
#1- Julie Campbell is CRAZY. She's the lady we rented the cabin/house from. She called us more than three times a day and wanted to know exactly what we were doinge every second of every day! SO CRAZY!

#2- We think its a state law that residents of Alaska can only take one bath a MONTH. I swear the people there are hippies that never take baths! Its so gross. We figure thats why it rain so much up there... to wash the hippies and cover their smell (Sorry to all the Clean Alaska Residents)
#3- Do not hike in to fish and plan on bringing out 12, 8 lb fish easily! We had the mistake of hiking into the Russian River Falls, catching our 12 fish limit and then remembering we do not know how to filay a fish, so we had to carry then out whole! Well Cod-Man did! He's so STRONG! ha ha. I was just there for moral support and to catch the fish!
#4- Bears in Alaska aren't that mean..... just leave them alone and they won't kill you!

#5- We love flying. We flew four times while in Alaska. We did two fly over fishing trip and we got to see the bears... it was freaking awesome!

#6- Our new favorite show is the Deadliest catch! We visited Homer, AK home of the Time Bandit.

#7- The sun NEVER goes completely down during the summer time. These pictures are on the same day... and you can see any changes in the day light. ITs crazy! It only gets dark for about an hour and then its light again... but even when it gets dark its not completely dark you could still probably drive without your head lights!

#8- There is lot of lovers up there... there is a lovers lane, lovers loop and lover circle! Wow! We went cruising down lovers lane!
#9- One of best feelings in the world is reeling in a HUGE King Salmon. But one of the worst is when you find out that King Salmon is too big and that you have to throw it back!
Cody caught this 48 inch king salmon, in June you can't keep the salmon if its over 46 inches, unless its over 55 inches you can. This fish weighted about 55lbs! It was sooooo awsome! It was a female and she was completely full of eggs! We really would have loved to keep it but it was awesome to see Cody catch it!This was my big fish! Its a red salmon and they are a blast to catch, they jump up out of the water and flip around. You could catch a salmon and lay it on the shore and the red salmons are so strong they can flip their way back into the water. Its CRAZY!

All in all we had so much fun! We stayed for 14 days and visited most of the Kenai Penisila... including the Anchorage LDS Temple, Such a special moment!
