IT'S MAY!

It's MAY!
(well tomorrow is!)

MAY looks to be a good month for us:
  • Its our 2nd Wedding Anniversary,
  • My 1st Mother's Day,
  • We are headed to AZ to pick up a horse,
  • Moving cows and branding calves,
  • Riding horses,
  • and Dallie Jo is now 9 months old! (Not really looking forward to this, but its going to happen)
It seems like time is flying. I know I say that every month, but it really is. I told a friend that we have been really busy all month, but I can't think of what we actually did! But as Spring fights its way into the Uintah Basin, we are looking forward to being outside and enjoying the warm weather and hopefully no WIND.

Things Dallie Jo learned in April:
  • She really likes canned Peaches.
  • She's ready to run, but not steady enough to let go. She runs with your fingers, not just walk... RUN!
  • She's still rolling everywhere, but she's doing an Army crawl which helps her get under chairs. Just yesterday I was sewing a little shirt for a friend and she crawled under my chair and pushed the peddle and sewed a few extra stitches on the shirt... Good thing my fingers were out of the way!
  • Still no Teeth, but she sure eats on everything like she is getting a whole mouth full.
  • Her EARS are doing great! Doc says the tubes are open and she's all healed up! Such a relief...
  • Sometimes waives BYE BYE and does paddie cake.
  • She's learned, more like we learned she doesn't like to travel. On the way to Delta, she screamed from Spanish Fork to Nephi in which she finally fell asleep... Little stinker!
  • She's a little Flirt... Enough Said!
While in Delta for Easter, we hit the big Hinkley easter egg hunt.
Lets GO!
Let me Get them DAD!

Dallie Jo seemed to have fun at the Egg hunt. She picked up one blue egg and that's all she wanted!
Dallie Jo and Lewis the Lion
(I made that up, I don't know his name.)
All the little kids were so scared of the lion, Dallie didn't seem to care. There was one little girl who seriously screamed bloody murder and climbed up her dad, needless to say, we all just laughed!

Well I hope everyone has a great month of MAY, We're hoping we do!
EASTER 2011
We were able to sneak away from the great UB and head to Delta for the weekend.
Our weekend pertained: alot of eggs colored, eggs found and eggs eaten...
Cody, Dallie, Aunt Misty, and McKrae all coloring eggs
Peek!

Yummy!
Dallie Jo and Koda Bear!
DaKoda is really good at coloring all the eggs... but only pink!

Dallie's Egg
Dallie Jo loves Daddy!
Mommy and Dallie
She thought the crayons tasted pretty good!
All colored out!
She was pretty tired from coloring all her eggs. She liked the feeling of the cold eggs and she the blue ones for some reason!

Finger Puller!

HIDE Your Fingers!

Dallie Jo is quite the little finger grabber... She'll pretend to sit on your lap for: point five seconds then she's off.  She'll sneakily find your hands, grab your fingers, scoot off your lap and turn and sheepishly smile at you...
She's too cute to say no to!

Thanks McKrae!
He took her for quite a few walks. The younger boys tried to, but she's a little to wiggling for them. It was a great having the kids around to play with her. She loves seeing them and watching them run around.

Cousins

Meet Kashe!
Mr. Kashe is Cody's sister's little guy. He is three weeks younger than Dallie, but you would never know that because he is quite a bit bigger than Dallie Jo. (In the weight department, that is!)

They got to play over Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Pehrson's house last weekend!
Its so fun seeing all the kids together!

Dallie and Jaxie

Dallie Jo is quite the walking machine!
My mom has a round ottoman and she walks around and around and around it.
This day, we were up playing with Jaxie. Dallie would stop by the couch, give her a kiss and continue on... TOO CUTE!
I'll get you Jax!
Hi Cousin!
Jaxie is all smiles!
Dallie Jo is so funny with Baby J. She softly kisses her head then smiles; Baby J doesn't mind too much!

Walking...

Dallie Jo is quite the little walker these days... that is with her WALKER!
When we went to play with Hazlie, she had a little walker that Dallie Jo really liked to play with. So to our surprise, Daddy brought home one from Wyoming and she hasn't stopped walking with it yet!

She looks just like a little Grandma wondering around.
And in wondering around I mean wondering until she gets to the wall and needs help turning around.

Limber Baby!
Can't move Dad!
See ya!

It's pretty funny watching her. When she falls down, she can't get back up very good so she rolls over to your feet and pulls on her pants to get your attention.
She just gets funner everyday!

P.S. she is feeling much, much, much better!
We've haven't seen Monster baby for a few days, THANK GOODNESS!

Parenting!?!

Whoever says Parenting is easy is NUTS!

Are you joking me?! It's probably the most uneasy thing I've ever done! Actually, labor/delivery seems to be the easy part of parenting... there were at least people there telling me what to expect and what do to when something was happening.

Now we roll with the flow and pray we are doing the right thing.

As Dallie Jo keeps getting bigger and grows into her own little person, Cody and I realize we really have no idea what we are doing. Like last night, we were eating diner and Dallie starts to cry. Is she hungry, is she hurting, or is she just spoiled rotten!?! I'm thinking she's just spoiled.... ALREADY?!

I kinda think Nanny 911 needs to come live with us so she can tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to get her to sleep at night. NOT KIDDING, Dallie Jo slept better as a newborn than she does now. If she hears the littlest squeak, those little BLUES shoot open and she's searching for the noise maker. I thought by getting tubes in her ears, that they might fix her constant nightly wake ups, NOPE!

And really, its crazy how fast they change! Just last week while in WY for a week Cody was telling me how much she had changed in just a week? She went from this sweet little girl who barely cried, who would hug and kiss you -TO- this little stinker with a BIG attitude, who just wants to walk every where, who refuses to crawl and who's jipper japper has turned into loud squeals. If the tubes are the cause of all these changes, I want them out! JK!

One thing Cody and I do know is, being a parent is the most rewarding blessing we have ever been given. Being a parent is the most costly, confusing and the biggest guessing game we've ever played!

BUT we wouldn't want it any other way! The moments when she will sit and cuddle with you TOTALLY make up for the midnight screams and feedings AND she when she says Mamma it totally makes the mood better; Even if its in the middle of her throwing a fit! I freaked out, and gave into whatever was making her throw a fit...

Yeah, I think I know why she's spoiled... It's totally her Dad's fault! ha ha

And maybe, just maybe it's mine!?! BUT only Maybe!

Monster BABY!

Dallie Jo is a Monster today!
I'm not sure if she is teething or if she is just having a bad day, but she is SUPER whinny!

Just a simple, "Dallie get away from the flowers," sends her into a crying fit!
  • If I put her down when she wants to walk... she Screams,
  • If I walk out of the room... she Screams
  • If I try to wipe her face off... Oh Boy, she Screams!
  • If I take the electrical cord away so she won't get electrocuted.... She REALLY Screams
And this was all before 10AM!

Lets just say... She may be For Sale!
Actually I'd never Sale her, but I might just give her away...
I'm TOTALLY Kidding! I love that little Cutie too much,
Even if she is a Monster!

Hoppy EASTER!
We're a little early, but I just couldn't hold this cute picture to myself any longer!
Its April! Which means... Dallie Jo is 8 months old and it's EASTER!
I really like Easter, all the pastel colors, baby animals being born, warmer weather is on it's way, (we all like that!) And not to mention the celebration of the Resurrection of Christ.
I especially like Easter time because it gives us an excuse to get a new Easter dress and its another reason to go visit family and friends!

Things Dallie Jo learned in March:
- She's a rolling fool! It's funny how in just one month she can go from being content sitting by her toys or reading a book, but now she's rolling everywhere. She goes from the kitchen to the living room, to her bedroom, to the bathroom....
-She'll eat on anything, besides peas baby food! She loves tags, the remote, our phones and dirty shoes... Gross! Cody says he's going to buy her a doggie chew toy and I wouldn't doubt that she'd be just fine with that.
- Thanks to Grandpa Great Fisher, She's a little finger grabber and wants to be walked everywhere!
- Jibber Jabber is her style of talking.
- She's learned how to throw a fit, by laying on her stomach with her face in her hands. She's pretty Dramatic!
- Loves visitors, even if its just the UPS man.
- She's a Smarty Pants; she learns something new everyday...
- She's not yet crawling, but she gets on all fours and just about does it, but then at the last minute rolls over.
- She LOVES being outside. By rolling to the door and pounding on it, this is her way of saying I want to go outside. Even just a quick trip to the mailbox will satisfy her for about..... 5 minutes.
- She thinks she's too cool for an afternoon nap, but by the time bed time rolls around, she wants to go to bed at seven and wake up and play at 9... Sorry Girlfriend! It a fight giving her a nap OR keeping her awake so she'll sleep at night.
- Her Nightly Routines now is: Ride Trigger, Eat an icecream and Walk Circles around her toys with the help of Daddy.

P.S. how do you like the one sock look? She's starting a new fab.

Missing him...

Cody has been in Wyoming since Sunday
and won't be back until Saturday...
and Miss Jo is missing her daddy.
At night whenever she hears a door close
she looks toward our back door for Cody to come walking in.
And the other night while we were walking circles
I stopped and showed her our family picture.
I pointed out MommyDaddy, and Dallie Jo.
When I pointed out daddy
she leaned forward and gave him a kiss.
It was so sweet!
Needless to say, Saturday couldn't come any sooner!

Ear Update
Day 3: Dallie Jo slept very well last night too. Apparently the tubes are helping; if only I could get used to her new schedule. I get up and check her through out the night just to make sure she's okay. Today is also the last day I have to give her some drops, so we'll see what the rest of the week brings.

Play Date

Meet Hazlie!
She is Dallie Jo's Best Friend!
Today I took Dallie Jo to play with Hazlie and I think they had a pretty good time.
Hazlie is six weeks older than Dallie and its fun to see them in different stages. I was hoping Miss Hazlie would teach Dal how to crawl but she was too busy playing, crawling, walking and....  Sitting on Dallie's head.
Yes that's right, sitting on Dallie's head
Sharrie and I were talking and we look over and there is Hazlie perched on Dallie's head just looking around.. it was too FUNNY!

Dallie Jo is going to have to get tougher to keep up with Hazlie

Dallie Jo was slowly walking with Hazlie's little walker and Miss H crawled over, stood up and took off walking and left Dallie in her dust....

It's been so fun having other friends who are going through the same stuff and I am with Dallie Jo.
Hazlie was so dang funny! She was here and there and pulling herself up and down.
Sharrie is going to really be in trouble once she gets walking. Forget that, she's going to be running before long!
Thanks for letting us come play! We will definitely have to come again soon.

Ear Update
Day 2: Baby Jo slept from 7pm to 7am! Oh happy day, I mean night! AND she didn't freak out when I put her ear drops in. I was feeding her at the time but that seems to help; she wasn't screaming and wiggling all over. She's still kind somber but she's getting back to her normal self.
