Getting down to the wire

We're getting down to the WIRE! 1 week LEFT!

One week left before my due date that is. I am very, very, very, ready to have this baby. Cody thought I would probably have the baby the weekend of the 24th and I thought for sure by the 28... Well today is the 28 and still no baby, just a doctors appointment, where I will probably be told again that I just need to have patience.

HOW DO YOU HAVE PATIENCE WHEN WAITING TO GO INTO LABOR!?!

One of my worst fears is going into labor at work, AHHH! that would be terrible so that is why this is my last week at work. I have seriously loved working at the clinic so much and I love the girls I work with, but it will be so nice being able to chill at home and kind of relax before the baby comes, that is if she doesn't come before next week. I am actually hoping to have the baby this week (sooner the better), I'm just hoping my water doesn't break at the clinic or the store! How embarrassing would that be? So embarrassing I would think.

When I was in elementary school, I remember Destini Miles' (Neilsen now) mom being pregnant and she was so terrified that her water would break in public. We have watched that movie the Cone Heads at one of our many sleep overs and in that movie the Cone head mother's water breaks and water goes everywhere.... it was a terrible sight! So us being the crazy girls we were thought that was probably what happened until Cheri explained... Good thing its not quite like that!

Update on the Pregnancy list, Frankie Fisher had her baby on Sunday July 25, a little boy with tons and tons of hair named Asa George Fisher. He looks just so cute and in the pictures I've seen, it looks like Mommy and baby are doing good. Suzanne is such a cute little grandma, she has put a bunch of picture of her and the baby up and you can tell that little boy is going to be well loved by all the Jessen, Miles, and Fishers. I texted Chaz on Monday and he said that he is doing great and that he eats alot! ha ha. He asked me how I was feeling and I just told him that I was feeling a bit jealous that they got their baby! Actually alot jealous! ha ha! Congrats Chaz and Frankie!

This last weekend was Altamonts Longhorn Celebration. I love going to our redneck celebration! We actually only went to the rodeo on Friday night but it was fun seeing a bunch of my cousins, family and friends participate. Quincee roped and did pretty well. She caught, but she just wasn't quite fast enough. She got a 5 but the fastest was a 3. So she was just under the time. That Saturday we just went to my parents house and chilled and had a BBQ. Just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.

Anyways, thats the update with us. Just waiting and waiting! This week I can add waking up every hour to go to the rest room to my pregnancy list. Before it was every so offend but lately its seriously almost every hour! Oh and I have kept myself making bow boards and some cute little onesies with an applique on them. I've got most of them done and when I get time I'll upload some pics. They turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself.

Hopefully at my appointment today, the doctor will tell us that I'm dialated to a 10 and ready to have her! ha ha Most likely thats NOT what he will say, but come on I can dream! I just hope that I have made a bit more progress, well alot more progress than last week! Wish me luck!

A Watermelon?

Some people thinks it so funny to ask me if I ate a watermelon whole to make my belly so big and round!
So when I recieved my week 38 belly updater email I just laughed! The Update said that the little babe in my belly is about the size of a Watermelon, and I believe it!

And while we're on the subject of watermelon, alot of people have asked me if I have had any craving for anything, and I have to stop and think. I seriously think that I haven't totally craved anything, but I have found some food that I desire over other foods.
Like, I Love fruits. I've never totally had to run to the store and buy some because I thought I'd die with out eating some, but I do like to eat fruit.
And at the beginning of my pregnancy I had foods that I could only eat, and by only I mean they were the only foods I could eat without gettting nauseated of sick from.
So I would say No on the craving part, but like more, yes!

So FYI, I love fruits and a nice cold, juicy, WATERMELON just hits the spot on these HOT Uintah Basin Days!

The End.

Watch out Cowboys!

Watch out Cowboys, Our Little Cowgirl is a kicker!

(PS: NOT MY BELLY! Sorry if your grossed out by the picture)
I swear this is what my belly looks like when she kicks me. She is getting so strong! I asked the doctor if she could seriously break my ribs from her kicking so hard... He just laughed.
BUT SERIOUSLY, COULD SHE?
I didn't really think it was that funny, I was serious! She has been kicking me in the same place for the last four months and I think my ribs on my right side will probably have a little foot imprint in them!
1..2..3..!
Yes, only three more weeks! I went to the doctor yesterday and he said that the baby is in position to come, my body just needs to decide to let her! I'm so ready, but only mentally I guess! He said I am dialated to a one... Yahoo! The little contractions I was having before have now turned into harder and longer ones and they are more and more frequent. I'm totally okay with this! My doctor said I just need to take it easy and enjoy my time, but I think I''ll just keep doing what I'm doing and hopefully little Baby Girl will come.... or maybe my body will let her come! ha ha
Wish Us Luck!

SUMMER!

Well this Summer seems like it has flown by until now.....
TIME HAS STOPPED!

Up until this last couple weeks it seems like summer was going to pass by with out us doing anything fun! So here is an update on what we've been doing 'fun' this summer! (mostly a reminder for me!)

This year Rylan decided she wanted Cody to help her show some calves in a couple STOCK SHOWS. So in October Cody and Rylan went through my Grandpa's calves and picked a heifer and a steer to raise for her to show.

  • May 31-June 4, was the Delta Stock Show and Rylan took her little heifer, Creamy to the show and did pretty well. For her first time ever showing a calf she took Reserve Showman in her class and she received a Blue in her heifer class... which is pretty good for just picking her favorite calf out of the field! :)

Rylan and Creamy! She really was a very cute calf!

Rylan ended up selling Missy Creamy at the sale and she was super super super nervous that her little heifer was going to the packer.... Cody just said, "Ry, she is going to a place where the grass is greener and the bulls are cuter!" Ry said, "Okay, Good!" ha ha

I think Rylan had a pretty good time! She made a couple friends and they went to their first stock show dance. My mom went to supervise them and she said it was pretty funny watching the boy and girl groups start away from each other then gradually get closer and then just join at the very end of the night!
The next morning I asked Ry how her first dance was and she said she did the worm and the crazy Indian (Its a Mathews' girls dance move). I asked her if she danced with a boy and she said "Almost, but my one friend did! She just marched up to the boy she liked and asked him to dance and then she came back and said it was the most ROMANTIC dance she'd ever had!" (probably the only one she'd ever had! ha ha) Cody and I just laughed!
What have we gotten ourselves into, girls are only drama and we've decided to have one! AWE!

Also this last month we, I mean Cody helped my Grandpa MOVE COWS. I just drove the truck. I did try to ride, but that lasted a whole 10 minutes because its not too comfortable having a baby bounce around in your belly and I'm not sure how she liked it either! But I guess you can say that little Baby P has had her first horsey ride! ha ha

The first of June WE HAD A FEW VISITORS, a friend of Cody's from HS came and stayed the night with us. It was nice meeting him and hearing his crazy stories. He's had quite the life! Ha ha, we set him up in our spare bedroom with our air mattress and the poor guy ended up sleeping on the ground because there was a very small hole in the mattress! ha ha The next  night Cody's brother Travis and wifey Ashley came and stayed with us also. Luckily I found the hole and they had a fully aired up mattress! It was nice having people come stay with us. It reminded us of just how small our apartment is, BUT it also reminds us how grateful we're going to be when we build our beautiful house!

June 19, my wonderful sister in laws threw me a BABY SHOWER in Spanish Fork for my family and friends that live out there and who probably wouldn't make it to the Basin Hole for a baby shower! We had a great time and I received so many nice presents! I was able to catch up with my friends Betsy Toyn, Leandra Call, Danielle Hanks, and Amanda Durfey for a little bit and it was great seeing them again. It has been over two years since I had seen most of these girls and I was so glad they came! My Aunt Darlene and cousin Marie and Mindy Sue also came and gave me the CUTEST blanket. My Aunt hand pieced it and I love the colors. BABY P will look so good wrapped up nice and snug in this blanket! Thanks to everyone who came, I had a great time!
(Leandra and I after the shower, I look terrible so I'm going to blame it on the pregnancy)

June 23, My Mom and sisters threw me a BABY SHOWER in Altamont. We had a pretty good time just talking to all my old friends and seeing my family! I love getting together with th'em. My friend Tara made me a nursing cover and my Aunt Linda said no that is called a "Hooder Hider! Ha Ha Ha We all laughed so hard! But that is all we do when all my family gets together. I also got a ton of cute clothes and some very cute little shoes. I received a ton of quilts and my grandma Carma promised to make me a silky blanket. All her grandkids love them! Thanks to everyone for everything they gave us. We really appreicate all the help and support. For this little baby to be so small, it sure takes alot to get ready for her!

From the PREGNANCY LIST:
Mallary Mecham had a beautiful baby girl on June 16, little Miss Karter Abigail and she is just precious. My friend Jenny and I went and visited her at the hospital and it was great being able to go in and kind of investigate the delivery rooms and see the new maternity ward at UBMC. It's very nice and just seeing and holding Baby Karter made me so anxious to have Baby P. here! But there is so such that I still need to learn.

Sharrie Bagley had her little girl on June 21. They named her Haizlie Marie, such a cute name and one minute she looks like her mommy and then just like daddy! She's just a little thing and I hope Baby P and Haizlie can be friends!

(Sharrie and I at her baby shower. I think she was 32 weeks and I was 27 weeks.)

I told Cody that I'd have to have Little Baby P on July 20th in order for Sharrie and I's kids to be the same distance apart as we were. I was born on Dec. 3 and she was Jan. 2. I don't think I'll have her that soon, but you can always hope. We'll hope that if I do that she is healthy and strong and fully developed. That's that only way I'll take her sooner! ha ha I guess We'll see.

Also Sammi Draper had her baby, a baby girl named Jaidyn. She's very cute too!

I am getting super super super ready for her to come. Seeing a few of my friends having theirs makes me want her so bad! And receiving all the cute outfits and bows isn't helping my anticipation either! I want her now! Remember a few months go when I said I needed to learn how to have patience? Well I still haven't found any! Still super impatient as ever!
4 more weeks!

We got our nursery all put together and let me tell you just how darling it is! Thanks to Grandma Angie Mathews we have the cutest bedding! I'll have to take a picture once I get all the decorations made, well finished. Here is what the bedding looks like. I'm adding a new decorations of my own but its SUPER cute!

For the 4 OF JULY, WE WENT TO DELTA and visited with Cody's family! We had SO MUCH FUN with the little grandkids. They are all growing up so fast and are all so different. The one thing they all have in common is they love to play and get wild with Uncle Cody! He's so great with them.

That's about all for now, We've been super busy and I really can't remember all that we have done, but getting ready for Baby P. is my favorite pass time. Slowly I'm getting everything done. I think we have everything we think we'll need for the baby and I just need to pack my bag for the blessed day when she decides to come. I've been making little presents for my friends who are having babies and its so fun! From bow boards to little onesies and also quilts. You know how much I love to craft!

I'm now down to GOING TO THE DOCTOR WEEKLY and I try and talk him into giving me more details as to when he thinks she'll come and he just says, "Well your due date is August 4." YEAH, Thanks Doctor! I want an exact date. Once again, a patience issue.

4 MORE WEEKS!
