This last weekend was a little busy... well for Cody and Jojo anyways.
It all started Thursday night when Cody didn't get home until 1:40 am from a long night of work to only get a few hours of sleep then headed out to go pheasant hunting with his crew early the next morning. After along day of playing, he came home to a little girl begging him to take her horse ride. (Mom's lame and can't ride anymore... wonder why? 38 weeks prego!) So he gave in and took her for a long ride, which she of course loved!
After a pheasant dinner (not the best) we all went to bed and woke up early to help sale Grandpa's calves. Cody trucked the calves to the scales and I babysat the kiddos. THEN about 11am Cod gets the call that his little bro had found his big horn sheep and was going to shoot it and asked if he wanted to come down and watch. Which of course Cody had to go and Miss Jo decided she wanted to tag along. So like a great dad, he took her. So they took off about 1pm and made it to Moab to watch Kjell shoot the sheep then after a long day of hiking to find the sheep Daddy and Jo headed back to Altonah Sunday night.
I was a bit emotional about being left behind, (stupid hormones). Cody kept saying you can come, just come and I thought really hard about it but I could just see myself being really uncomfortable the whole ride and he wouldn't be too happy about having to stop every half hour to let me go to the restroom so I had to stay home.
But from the stories I've heard from Gma Carrie and Daddy it sounds like they had a great time. Even through the loooooong hike to find the sheep they said Jo was a good girl and I'm glad Cody survived carrying our 'healthy' 3 year old. And I'm sure Jo loved being the center of attention! She was the only girl with her daddy, Gpa Dave and uncles Kjell and Trav.

Lastly here is a funny little line Cody told me Jo said to Gpa Dave.

"Gumpa, whatcha got for a hungry little girl to eat her tummy?"

Sounds just like her!

Corn Maze 2013

The week Cody went hunting with his brother, he told Jo that when he got back he'd take her on a date to the corn maze (which was pretty much the only thing that got him out the door with out her).
So last weekend, Jo and Daddy went on a Daddy Daughter date and I tagged along to document the occasion. And since Kaylee and Kjell were visiting I guess I was on a date with them.... ha ha

SHE LOVED IT!

She especially loved the goats.
She now wants a girl goat for Christmas! Yeah, true story!

She said, "Dad I'm a wittle tired, can I have a ride?"
So Cody got his work out running with Jo on his shoulders trying to scare us the rest of the night.

I spy with me little eye....

This is a Not so good action shot of them running out of the corn toward me.
YEAH! We made it out!

We got back to the truck and Jo says, "What the heck happened to that man's face?"
Seriously so funny!

I just love the age she is at now... Well I've loved all three years but she can really understand what we want her to do and she can do so much by herself. She's becoming so independent and has really proved that she is ready for a little sibling. She even told us how to drive from our house to the maze. She's been scoping it out for weeks! She was so pumped to go, and I was really, really glad Cod was there to chase her through the corn because the whole way through the maze I was having contractions and backaches. I told Kaylee and Kjell it would be totally awesome if I really was in labor, Kjell didn't think so... only 4 more weeks! That's right... Only!

Jaxie and Dallie

These two are the best of friends and the worst of enemies.
Lets just say too much play time is too much!
But on this day they played so good and were too funny!
This pic makes it look like they actually like each other!

I love you Dallie

Hunting season for the pregnant wife...

A couple weekends ago, once again I was made a hunting widow. Cody went down south hunting with his old brother Jason for a week so of course while he was gone I took the advantage to do some crafting.
So here is some proof of the stuff I 'did' while he was gone.
I love Fall, and I love Halloween! So I actually had some of our decorations up in September but I finished it up with some last minute touches.

Jo and I had such a fun time making this garland. She loved picking out the fabric and buttons and bows to put on them and I liked getting rid of some of my left over fabric. THANKS pinterest for the idea!
Pumpkin pillows. I thought they turned out pretty cute and they were cheap and fun to make and SUPER easy!
Jo calls this her boyfriend basket! I told her that the skeleton is the only boyfriend she could have until she was 30!

And we finished Jo's Halloween costume.
She's going to be a BAD witch

Proof!

Finally, I have proof of the deer that has been eating my garden all summer.
She looks pretty plump, I guess I was raising venison instead of vegetables!

Its just a dream

So I usually have crazy dreams, pregnant or not... but this takes the crazy cake!

Last night I dreamed that our ward... yes only our ward asked all the men to take on two more wives; sister wives. I was so ticked! I didn't want to share my husband.

So to add to the madness, the process of finding a sister wife turned into a scene off of the bachelor. The rules to gaining new wives was the current #1 wife was required to go on the dates with their husbands and #2 the husbands were to council with their wives about their feelings about finding the best fit for their new family.

So there I was, going on dates with MY husband to pick two new wives. Lets just say awkward! The ladies were overly nice and were always trying to help with my kids and cooking me dinner. Which might sound nice but really who wants to have another lady outshine yourself? And of course the ladies were all boobilious, skinny and, boobilious!

After a few dates, Cody found a lady he liked and we were about to invite her into our family when all of sudden there was a new element added to this 'game': The men could now choose to keep his #1 wife or pass her on to another man and gain three new wives.

What the? What will be next? Now instead of him and I dating these women, I had to go on other dates with other men just in case he decided to throw me away. Awkward!

So after several treacherous dates, Cody had made his decision.... Was he getting three new wives or keeping me and getting two more? Hmmmmmmmmm

He was just about to make his big announcement when... Cody's DAMN alarm clock went off and I woke up! What the heck! I was a bit disappointed that I never found out his decision. I laid there pretty ticked.

What a crazy dream! Who dreams about that?

After telling Cody about my dream his reaction was, "I would never take on another wife. I can't even handle the one I have..."

I felt a little relieved then two seconds later he said, "Well maybe if she was hot."

Yeah, thanks loving husband, Not something your chubby 8 month pregnant wife wants to hear!
