1st Snow of 2012

Let is Snow, Let it Snow, Let it SNOW!
I am so very, very, very happy to see all the snow falling outside. On the news and other media outlets there are so many people complaining about the snow. Its too cold, its wet, its hard to drive in, etc... Well, you live in UTAH what else would your expect during winter?!
I personally am very glad to have snow this winter. I was pretty concerned last summer when the rancher and farmers were only able to have irrigation water until June 2012; that left July, August, September... without water.
Yep, no water for irrigation, means the livestock ran out of pasture earlier, very little hay and oats grew in order to be put of for future feeding and the ranchers had to start feeding hay sooner because of the lack of pasture.
So with all this beautiful fluffy stuff falling outside, I feel some peace and hope for next summer!
PLUS isn't all that white so pretty?!?
My mom said, "The only time weeds are pretty are when they have frost on them..." And isn't that true.
Miss Jojo loves the snow! She's her dad's little mocking bird and they both love to throw snow at me!

Jo says, "I've got to gedder, ged der dad!"
(I've got to get her, get her dad!)

We have had so much fun playing in the snow. We gave Jo some snowboots for Christmas and she would still rather wear her 'dirlboots' because they slide on the snow and ice.
I think our next plan is to go sledding down the hills behind out house... Perfect sledding hills!

Christmas 2012

We had very nice Christmas if I say so my self! Christmas Eve we had a yummy dinner at Grandma Fisher's house and then spend the night at my parents house. Jojo really got into the Christmas 'spirit' the last few days before Christmas.
Her sweet Grandma Carrie sent her 12 days of Christmas which included a book comparing Santa and Jesus... I believe in Santa. Highly recommend it! She also sent her the cute Fisher Price Nativity Scene. Dallie loved opening up the little people and she would tell us who each person was.
At first she was a bit confused that Jesus mom and her mom didn't have the same name. haha I asked her, "Jo, what's Jesus' mom's name?" and she'd say, "Nandice." We then corrected  her and had her on the right track, then the next day I asked her what her mom's name was and she said Mary...
I think she might have it all lined out now!
Santa came?
There's my presents!

My piggy bank!
She's pretty obessed with piggy banks. She accidently dropped her's a few months ago and it broke because it had so much change in it. Just the other day I took that chang into the bank and she had $78 in coins and $46 in cash! She has more than her parents! That's pretty good for a 2yr old!
This is how Cody gift wraps... Duck tape and lot and lots of paper!
The thing is, he thinks I snoop.... Yeah right! haha
This is 'Bullseye' Its too funny how she says it,
"I ride Bull... Eye!"

Daddy's turn! Go Bullseye!
What, under all those toys there's a wagon! She was so surprised!

The duck tape was a bit stronger than me...

How many elves does it take to put a silly red wagon together?

As Dallie Jo gets older, the funner Christmas has become. Her first and second year were fun, but this year she really got into the presents and understood the stories and books we read her of Santa and Jesus. Next year will be ever funner!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Oh Christmas Tree...

With our house just being built and not knowing when it would be finished, I decided to borrow my mom's little tree and decorate it this year.
I have a rule, that our Christmas tree has to be up before my birthday... Dec. 3! And we made it this year. There is just something about Christmas lights on a cold winter night that just relaxes you from a long day.
Jo took the decorating of the tree pretty serious, she took the ornament out, studied it and then put them all on the same tree limb... it was a bit lopsided for the longest time and she refused to let me take them off that little limb until she was down for a nap.
Lets just say this little tree isn't very stable in the first place... We just got the tree cute, and fully decorated when I was walking by with Jo in my arms and she reached for an ornament and the whole tree came toppling over... So truly our tree was only fully decorated for about five mins and after that I would just stick the ornaments where they would fit after, (it was a poor looking tree if I say so myself!)

And my second rule is I really like to have all my Christmas decorations down the day after, well soon after Christmas. (I get kind of sick of them) Well this year was the same, I was ready to have our little apt back to normal. We had very little living room space for all Jo's horses with the tree up so it had to come down. Well Jo had a hard time with this. I started taking it down while she was asleep and she came out and said, "NO mom don't play with the tree. See you tip it!" (Hmmm I wonder where she heard that?) So needless to say, I had a fight on my hands, and in compromise i let her keep one of the snowmen out to play with...

Sleepless nights

4AM and I'm blogging...

I swear this house needs to get built soon so I can stop worrying! I lay in bed at all hours of the night just wondering if we have or are making the right decisions. I know they are all worldly decisions but I want nothing but the best for my family's future and with all the messes and hassels we've been faced through out this whole process, I'm just hoping they are worth the ulcers and loss sleep!

This house has turned me into the Grinch!

Maybe becoming a whisky drinker would help... What do you think?
