D and K

A couple nights ago, we had the grand pleasure of having Mr. K come play with us.
We seriously had to beg his Mamma into letting him come play.
Miss Jo wasn't too sure what to do with little mister!
Whenever Jaxie comes over, the two girls usually fight over the same toy but with little Kazzer, Jo was more than willing to let him play with all her toys.
First she brought him her favorite horse, then another and another. Then she read him a book and then by the end of the night Kaz had every one of Jo's stuffed animals, books, horses, and hats gathered around him. Jo said, "Mom him play!"

He would reach for her and she would lean in and he would give her a kiss, then she would give him a kiss... too cute!
This is a big step for Dallie, she even let him look at her favorite book!
Cute kids!
We loved having Kazden. Jo was so careful with him and he liked us until after his nap, then he was ready for his Mamma. He would look at Jo and laugh then look at me and cry, (I choose to think its because I'm not his Mom, not cuz he doesn't like me. Ha ha) Then he would cuddle into my shoulder and play with my hair for a bit then look at me and cry. We had to call him Mamma to come and get him.
And the little turkey was just A-Okay when Quincee came to get him....
I really like this pic, Jo would let him grab her and pull on her and cuddle her. She was so soft with him. Its pretty surprising to me that she knows when she needs to be soft (Well most of the time)
I hope he will want to come and play more!

Pehrson Lately...

This girl is changing so much lately.
I used to see so much of me in her and now she is looking... and acting(she's a wild women!) like her dad.

Here are some Jo lately's that make me laugh:

-A few weeks ago, Cody and I decided we wanted to skip out of church early after sacrament. Well on the way out she started screaming, "Me play! Nussey!" I guess we have a little Molly Mormon on our hands! ha ha.
-She loves her panties with the kitties on them. While purchasing them from walmart she started striping in the shopping cart so she could put them on.
-She's definitely a 2 year old. She become more and more independent everyday. Some days its good and others it drives me nuts!
-She's really into books... books that have animals in that is. While at the library we will go looking for a book to bring home and she will look at the pics until she finds a horse and if she can't find one she put it back.
-Seriously, Jo is a horse freak! And we have Grandma Angie to blame for this horse madness! When ever we pull up to Gma and Gpa Mathews' house she immediately asks them to ride harses...! Every. Time.
These pics are of when we had to put the horse away after taking pics.... She was so sad!
-My mom and I attempted once again to try and take some pics of Jo. Out of a possible 100 pics we got probably 2 of her smiling (at the horses not the camera). But needless to say, we did get a few of her little cute personality and love for horses.

-She loves babies. My neighbors have a 3 month old who is just starting to focus and smile at you and she loves to make him smile. In church on Sunday she yells over to Nicole and says, "Baby Cole, he's chute!"
-Also last week in church, I was in the middle of my YW lesson when the nursery leaders bring me Jo with a stinky diaper. I quickly change her and during this whole time she is just whimpering, I ask her whats wrong and she said, "I no go home, I go to nussey!" Too funny!

AND some US lately:

-Cody has been working an insanely amount of hours lately. Seriously 24 hours one day, then he helped my grandpa move cows all day, come home and get a few hours of sleep then head back to work at 5 the next morning! I don't know who he can do it, I would be a walking zombie! AND the last two nights he's been working nights: 5pm to 9am....
-Our house is coming along slow but sure! They are getting the dirt, rocks moved and filling in the dirt around the basement walls and they almost have the water line and culvert put in. The house spot went from looking like an oil well location, to a war zone and now it actually looks like a house location. They had the lumber delivered today and the floors of the basement are being pored soon..... Hopefully with in the next week they will start framing! How exciting!
-As for me, I'm staying busying trying to pick all the house stuff out. Seriously I thought it would be so much fun but really there is too much to pick from and I decided my husband is way toooooooo picky! He says its me who is changing my mind but its him. He will tell me to keep picking stuff out until I find what he likes.
-And of course trying to keep up with Jo is a chore all in its self. We are still doing the potty training thing... JUST SHOOT ME! This parenting thing just keeps getting harder! ha ha but I sure enjoy this wonderful, wild, crazy, loving journey I'm on!

The Wise Man built his house upon the Rock(s)...
Lets just hope this saying it true, cuz our hill is nothing but rocks!
As of August 6 we officially started our house. We now have footers, basement walls and roughed in plumbing.

Pump truck pouring the concrete

It was like little Mexico up there for a few days,
The concrete men stayed there for 5 days and worked their little hearts out. Seriously they had the forms up so fast. The only problem was they had to wait for a concrete truck for over an hour, which caused some problems but hopefully that will all get resolved.
I just love going up and seeing all the progress coming along! I would probably go up everyday if gas prices weren't so high... Dang that 30 min drive from Roosevelt to Altonah!
JUST IMAGINE, WE'LL ACTUALLY HAVE A PLACE TO CALL OUR OWN!
