WOW! Where have the time gone? Next week is February and I haven't posted since December! So here's a quick update.
December:
-Cody and I spend Christmas at his parents and we had a blast! The grandkids were fun to watch open their presents Christmas morning, and boy did Santa Bring them a ton! Toys, Trucks, tools, cleaning toys and dollies.... you name it, one of them got it. But you know how the saying goes, its fun to see them come and good to see them go. I'm sure thats exactly how Cody's mom Carrie felt. We had a blast but were ready to get back to our quiet little house with no kids fighting over toys! We had a great Christmas!
-For New Years Eve we just kept it simple and went to diner and a movie. We didn't even stay up to see the New Year in. I remember waking up in the night and seeing that it was 12 am and I think I wished Cody a Happy New Years but then just fell back to sleep. (Yep We've fallen into the mode of an old married couple.)
We went and saw the Movie Blindside New Years Eve and I hightly recommend it. Its great and we can all learn a good lesson on service and helping others out! I'm not saying that I would take a big teenager into my home, but I might think of helping find a place... ha ha! I'm not quite to Sandra Bullock's level yet! After the movie, we were headed home and there were cop cars swarming the parking lot looking for something or someone. We pulled out of the parking lot and there were kids in handcuffs and there were more cops going through other parking lots and peoples back yards looking for someone. I was like, we could rob a bank tonight and not get caught because the cops are all around the movie house. I bet there were 12 cop cars there..... Just to make it clear, WE DID NOT ROB A BANK, we're still poor!
January:
-This last month has flown by and I can't really even remember when we did. Cody's work has gotten really busy and the Vision Clinic is pretty busy as well so we've just been working.
-We've been to aton of basketball games as well. Quincee is a junior this year and is playing varsity full time. And by full time I mean she never gets a break in the ball game, NO SUBS! Her team is doing pretty good this year and should be ranked higher but they're just lacking a little self confidence. Quincee rocks at three pointers! It's so fun to see her improve over the years.... lets just say her freshman year was a bit scary and I don't think she ever handled the ball with out traveling. GO LADY LONGHORNS! YOU CAN DO IT!
-Other than work and ball games we do nothing! Our weekends go too fast and we hate Mondays!
Februay:
-In February it will be two years since I met Cody. We're very lucky that we did meet.... Thanks Kit and Jenny! If it wasn't for a still small voice, prompting Cody to take a job in Vernal while he was working in Alaska, we would never have met. We are truely meant to be together and so greatful for every day!
-I look forward to Valentines because I love having a Valentine! Last year Cody gave me the cute picture of our names on the tree and I gleam everytime I see it.
-Coder's birthday is also this month! He's getting pretty old! ha ha, but you wouldn't know it. He still acts like a little kid!
-Also this month we're hoping to go to region wrestling, region girls basketball, state wrestling and state girls basketball. Go AHS! We're so good at supporting the teams we like to watch... ha ha!
-I'm also feeling a little crafty. After Christmas I was a bit crafted out, but I've had a month to rest and I'm ready to get my juices flowing.... So if you have any ideas, send them my way!
Thats about it! I can't think of anymore! Pictures to follow...
So Merry Late Christmas and Happy Late New Year. I hope everyone is in good health and enjoying 2010. I think our New Year will be great!
