This little Piggy....

(Sorry Danielle H., I know how you HATE FEET!)

Mother, like Daughter
-OR-
 is it Daughter like Mother?
Either way, these piggies are so cute!

I think today has been the L.O.N.G.E.S.T day of our lives! When I got up this morning, I thought today would actually end up being a decent day; BUT yet again, the wonderful Basin Wind has picked up and we have barricaded ourselves in the house again.
Luckily we were able to get out for a little walk/jog before it picked up.
(More walking than jogging, slowly getting back in shape)
So with it being windy outside and not much to do inside, I decided to paint Dallie Jo's little toes.... It took a bit longer than just painting my own but they turned out SUPER CUTE

This is one of the new little outfits I picked up,
(She's growing out of all her other clothes)
Its Super CUTE too!
It's probably just the Sweet Baby wearing it...
She's still trying to find her balance,
She wants to walk so BAD!

Anyways, with these pretty blue eyes and that BIG smile, Baby Jo always makes a long day like today alot better and definitely more fun!

Ice Cream Baby!

These pictures pretty much
speak for themselves.....

Doesn't she look so Happy?! Oh YES!
Dal gobbles the ice cream down faster than Cody can clean her up...
She's definitely her Dad's girl, and has his sweet tooth for Orange Cream Ice Cream!

New Stuff!

We are loving the warm weather SO. VERY. MUCH!
I finally talked Cody into buying me a stroller and I am loving it. It's so fun to just get out and go for a little walk, or a long walk as some of them have turned into. And Miss Dallie Jo LOVES it too!

Sleepy little eyes.
Our little walks usually makes her really tired, but she's too afraid to miss something so we won't fall asleep until we get home.

We don't need to buy toys, all we need is the weekly newspaper and Daddy's toes!

Peek!
She loves the newspapers, she'll roll back and forth just ripping them up.
Her little shirt was pretty black from the ink, but its okay, she had fun

Today I took Miss D to the Doctor (yet again!) and much to our dismay, she has to get tubes put in her ears. I wasn't too happy and was kinda nervous to hear the results but the Doc quickly put my nerves to rest. He fully explained the process and made me see it is just a small surgery; not really a surgery but a procedure which will take less than five minutes. They don't even have to do any needle work, they just put a little mask over her nose and she's out. He did say she'd probably be mad when she wakes up from the dizziness of the anesthetics but really its not a big deal. (I'm still a little nervous, but it's because I'm a worry wart!)

I thought this was kind of interesting: Dr. Catten said, getting tubes is the second most common procedures, right up there with the 'special' procedure a boy baby gets. (If you know what I mean!)

So that's where we are now. Just spilling out more money to the Docs,
BUT if it will make her feel better, I'm all for it!

Sunday Funnies!

Sunday Funnies:

It always so nice when people at church stop and say how cute Dallie Jo is (I love it actually), Then they get a whiff of her stinky diaper, make a funny face and quickly walk away....
I laugh Every. Single. TIME!
I guess that's what they get for stopping me on my way to the Mother's room.

Today Cody got called out as we were getting ready to go to church this morning;  Cody usually gets Dallie Jo dressed while I get my lesson and diaper bag together, then I feed her and we head to church, but this morning I had to do it all..... (its funny, I do this all week by myself but I'm use to his help on Sundays. I didn't schedule/organize myself... ha ha)

Its hard taking: a baby, a car seat, scriptures, a diaper bag, lesson booksblankets, toys, treats, and of course table decorations to the truck, THEN unload it all at the church, THEN reload it all back in the truck THEN unload it at the house... ALL BY YOURSELF. And its even more stressful when your running late. (AND my YW president hates when we are late... but what can you. Needless to say, we were NOT late this morning, I didn't want to feel the wrath of Sister Gerber.)

So here's a big THANK YOU to my awesome hubby for all his help which I usually take for advantage... We miss you today!

I just had to throw this in... Just another cute picture from her photshoot at the beginning of this month.

I hope everyone has a great Sunday and can get their Sunday nap in!
If only Dallie Jo would let me have one.

So ticked..

So when ever I feed Dallie Jo, she insists on having her socks off. Well tonight while she was eating carrots and oatmeal she couldn't get her socks off and she got so ticked! She started throwing her arms up and down and screaming.... BUT as soon as I took off her socks she was JUST FINE!
Silly Girl!

It has begun!

Dallie Jo is now Miss Mischievous...
I remember when my sister Quincee was little; when ever she was quiet my mom would say 'Go check to see what she's into...'

Same to be said for Dallie Jo.

Yesterday, while I was organizing my kitchen cabinets I put Dallie in her play saucer and she was talking and jumping and just having a fun time. About ten minutes into cleaning, she gets quiet and I look over at her and she has a whole hand of potting soil from the poor plant (Its had a hard life) I have in my kitchen.... I caught her right before she put any in her mouth. Sorry no pics.

When Cody got home last night, I said... "So I know why my plant is dieing, its not from me not watering it or giving it sunlight, its because Dallie Jo likes to pull on its roots." He said, "Yeah blame it on poor, inocent Dallie Jo."

Poor and Inocent?.... I think not
She's got a mischievous look her her eye!
She gets that from her Daddy!

Her newest thing is: she likes all her toys out of her toy basket. She'll pull it over and pull them all out then when there aren't anymore left inside she'll fuss for me to put them back in.

Such a Funny Girl!

Also, she hasn't been feeling well again. She's had 1.2.3 ear infections since the end of December. I took her back to the doctor yesterday and he said it looks like she's getting yet another ear infection. He said with the history she's had so far, it looks like we're on the road to getting tubes. So, we made an appointment with the ear, nose and throat specialist and we'll see what he says. I'm hoping she won't have to get tubes because I don't want her to have to get surgery and be put out. BUT at the same time, I've heard that most babies are completely different just by getting tubes. Don't get me wrong she's always been a happy baby, but its so sad to see her not happy and sick. Its been a long three months of having a sick baby and the constant fight to get her to take her medicine.

I'm hoping SPRING  is on its way! I am getting stir crazy in this tiny house. I want to get out and go for walks, play in the sun and ride horese. Hopefully the warm weather would help Dallie Jo's ears feel better too...

Model Baby

I thought I'd post some pictures of the more recent shirts I've made Dallie Jo.
They are so FUN to make!

This was her Valentine's shirt.
Heart on the back
PS I bought these little pants from Wal-Mart and they just seem to keep growing with her. They are size 3-6 which she has been wearing forever!
I crocheted a flower to match and just look at all that hair!
I like to spike it up, just to remind me that she does have some....
D is for Dallie
I made her a little belt with a flower as the buckle.
Its pretty cute especially with that cute little chubby roll on top.
This is how I keep from going insane! My apartment isn't very big and you can only clean a small space so many times. I've really enjoyed coming up with different appliques for the shirts and figuring out different flowers... that is when Dallie Jo will allow me to.
We have some friends who are expecting a boy in May and I'm very excited to make him some shirts. Boy shirts are little trickier because I'm usually in girl mode, but I have a few ideas up my sleeve and I'm excited to see how they turn out.
I'm usually a nap time crafter, but lately Dallie Jo thinks she only needs to take a morning nap. So finding the time to finish these shirts is kinda tricky.

AND just one more pic to show Grandma Carrie how much hair she has. There is hair and its coming in dark and pretty thick; its just coming in VERY SLOW!

7 Months

I can't believe it, Dallie Jo is 7 months old!
Cody says I'M getting old... ha ha And before we know it, she'll be dating and getting married! Scary!
Yesterday I took her for a short photo shoot with Kari Morris, and Dallie Jo was so good!
I think we got some pretty cute pics. Here's a preview:
Things I want to remember about her at this age:

-I simply L.O.V.E the stage she is in now... she's independent enough to entertain herself but still not mobile enough to get the toys that get too far out of her grasp. She can't quite mess up our house yet, but I think if she could, she would....
-Grab This, Grab That! Her little hands are always moving and into everything. We'll walk pass something and they next thing I know the whole flower arrangement or shelf of boxes are knocked over.
-She is just content to just sit on the floor and look at a book.
-She's our little smarty pants! I was having her try peas a week ago and she didn't like them. I tried mixing up the sequence of peas, then mush, then some berry-banana mix and she refused to open her mouth for the peas.... Its like she knew that's the color NOT to eat! She does love her purple colored food though!
-She's getting HAIR, its about an inch long on top and sides but still kinda light, BUT it is THERE!
-She loves kids. On the news today there were some kids singing and she just laughed at them and smiled and wanted them to come play with her.
-She's a little flirt (mostly because she likes kids). In church on Sunday there were four little boys sitting behind us, probably ages 3-1 years old and she just smiled and talked to them. One of the the little boys would says, "She's chute... she's chute Mom!" Too funny! Cody leans over to me and says, "Back off Boys..."
-She's going to give lil Jaxie a run for her money, she already wants to grab her and love her, so hopefully Jaxie is tough!
-Loves Peek-a-Boo and mirrors!
-Eats a little bit of orange cream sickle with dad almost every night and knows when he takes to to the fridge that she's going to get a treat so she gets super excited!
-She's had a three ear infections since January and even tough she doesn't feel good, she gives Mamma a little smile and cuddles me (only thing good about kids being sick, the cuddle part!)
-Says Dadadadadadad, when I ask her to day Mamamamama!
Love you, LUV BUG!
Thanks to Kari with Sweet Reflections, she did a great job taking Dallie Jo's pictures and has tons of cute props and ideas!

-PS, she can now find her binky in the night and put it in her mouth, which I am super excited about because now I don't have to get up when ever she wants it! LOVE THIS!

This little Piggy...

Last Saturday we went and watched my little sister compete in the AHS' FFA Sweetheart contest.
Quincee smoked the competition and Dallie Jo met these piggies...
Get me out of HERE!
Pictures of Quincee will come as soon as I can steal them from my mom..
