Bear Hunt 2011
Prince of Wales Island, Alaska

Cody and his dad are finally back from Alaska. We went and picked them up on Tuesday afternoon and Miss Jo was so happy to see Daddy!
I was able to talk and text Cody a little bit while he was up there but I couldn't completely picture what he was telling me about... Pictures are worth a thousand words!
They were in Alaska for 9 days, and on the very last day, just a few hours before flying out, Cody finally got his bear!
I was getting a little worried he might not... But he did!

Cody's Shark!
This is what the area is like they were hunting in. He said there were sink holes with no bottom; you'd just disappear, Thanks Goodness he didn't!
Alaska's tree are so close together and the greenery is so thick you can hardly see ten feet in front of you.
It was nice and rainy the WHOLE time they were up there. Cody said he hasn't ever been that wet before.

Cod had a pretty good time. He said he wished he could have caught a few more fish and shot a bigger bear, but at least he got to! And besides actually finding a bear he had a great time just spending time with his dad.

When he first told me about he trip, he said it was a "ONCE  in a life time trip..." Lets see how long it is before he wants to go back! Any bets?

Worries!

So when Cod decided to go bear hunting, a few worries crossed my mind:

1- He might get eaten by a bear
2- He might get eaten by a wolf
3- He might get lost or run into big foot,
4- He turn into a Hippie and never come home. Its a possibility, he loves AK! (I seriously think most the people up there are hippies hiding from the Government)

When Cod texted me last night, he told me had gone fishing and caught a SHARK!
Never once did I worry about sharks...
Good thing Cody was doing the shark hunting and not the shark hunting him!

But all is well, he's still alive and hasn't been eaten by anything! (So far, two more days to go!)

Cody has a girlfriend and her name is HUNTING!
She better be the only girlfriend he has...

When I married Cody, I knew about his love for hunting, but I don't think I realized just how much he liked it until him and his dad decided to go bear hunting in Alaska. He was SUPER-SUPER EXCITED!

So for the next 9 days, I am a widow while Cody is gone on this "Once in a life time adventure" to the Prince of Wales Island in Alaska to hunt one of these:

Yesterday we dropped off the boys at the airport, wished them good luck and made them promise not to get eaten by a bear... So I guess we'll see if they come home with all their limbs intact!
I hope I didn't just jinks them!

Labor Day Cowgirl!

Daughter like Father...
We didn't have much in mind for this Labor Day, so we went on a little horse ride, had a BBQ with my parents and just had a good time spending time together.
I sure love my little family!

Naples' Splash Pad

Splash Pad- Part 1
This was Jo's first time at the splash pad, does she look like she's liking it?
NOPE!
She didn't like the surprise of the sprinklers coming on.

Thee Squatters...

Splash Pad- Part 2
This time our neighbors met us over there and she loved having some company who she actually knew.
She really enjoyed herself this time!

Mr Wyat.. he loves to kiss the girls and make them cry! Probably only Jo...

Loving the water!

Thank goodness we went back, She really liked it this time.
She just needed a friend to play with.

Camping

Bayless Family Reunion 2011
Normally we aren't the reunion going people, but we decided to take the plunge and drive down to Torrey, UT for Cody's, mom's family reunion and we had a great time... other than not getting any sleep and the five hour drive it was real fun!
I did learn one thing about my little hubby, he's really competitive in Volleyball! He insisted on winning even if that meant we all play more and more games so he's team would come up on top. It was pretty funny watching him play in he cowboy boots... (sorry no pics of this)
Dallie Jo loved having her older cousins push her around. There's something about a red, plastic car that is much funner than her smooth riding stroller
It was Keegan's birthday that weekend and it a good thing he got a new rope to keep Uncle Cody occupied!

Stop teasing me dad!
There's nothing better than relaxing by the fire after a long day of playing. Miss Jo did her best sleeping in her daddy's arms next to the warm fire... That's right she pretty much did her ONLY sleeping by the fire, ha ha!

And on our way home we had to stop and take a pic of this house, we are hoping our house looks like this one, well not that big but how its kinda placed on a hill and I'd love to have that red barn too!
