3D Ultrasound

A fun thing UBMC does for their pregnant patients is a 3-D Ultrasound. Today we were able to see baby #3's pics and do have to say, she does belong!

Of course we weren't able to get a great shot because my kids are always stubborn but the Ultrasound tech was able to go pass the arm and see her cute little chubby cheeks!

Cody says I need to lay off the ice cream again! And I think he's right! Dallie was an eight pound baby and her cheeks were chubby too. Cooper was seven pounds and not as chubby. While getting the ultrasound done, we had her check one more time the gender (wishful hoping), YEP still a girl! But Cody does think this one has more boyish looks so many it is a boy and just modest?! (More wishful hoping!)

And Like always I have to compare:

12 more weeks! What, WHAT?!

Let's Talk...

So here's the thing... our lives are busy! So busy that I haven't posted for quite some time and a lot has happened!

First off, we finally finished phase 1 of our yard. We got the sprinkler system installed and the grass planted; and it's actually green up here on our hill! Few! it has been a looooooong project picking up rocks and hauling dirt!

Second, we found out we're getting another little girl in February! Surprised? Yes, so were we! I didn't even know I was pregnant until 7 weeks in. I had been having some 'woman' issues and the doc had been watching a cyst when the baby was discovered. I think I was in denial for quite awhile. Plus to add to our surprise, I thought for sure we'd get boy because I have been carrying this baby lower and not as sick; NOPE doc says girl. I'm not going to lie, I was a bit (ok, a lot) disappointed when we left the hospital after my ultrasound. I really wanted a boy. Why? I don't know, maybe so Cody could have a side kick and maybe because we've done the girl thing twice?! Either way, we will welcome this little girl into our lives and deal with all the hormones. Plus, Cody said girls were always the hardest to beat in stock show, that's what is getting him through all this girl stuff.

Third, Dallie is in school now and goes to morning kindergarten. She loves it and is so excited to get up everyday to go to school. I did get my first call from the school about a fight she was in.... Yes that's right, my little Dallie punched a little boy for making fun of her cowgirl boots! I wasn't sure if I should congratulate her for sticking up for herself or punish her for hitting! Needless to say, her teacher said, Dallie did try and tell her the little boy was bugging her but Mrs Wood was busy and couldn't help her right then so Dallie I suppose had just had enough and punched him. Her Daddy always said, if they won't leave you alone (bullies) to punch them in the face.... I'm glad it was the belly and not the nose! PS the little boy didn't even cry, so she must not have hit him tooo hard!

Fourth, Miss Cooper has turned into a daddy's girl. She used to be my girl and follow me around but as soon as dad gets home she wants nothing to do with me! Not even if she gets hurt, its her DADDY she wants. She is talking up a storm but you can only understand about every 5th word. Just last week while moving cows, she was riding with her dad and refused to let him hold onto her. She had to hold the reins and balance in front of his by herself. She makes me worry! She has had more bumps and scratched and bruised than Dallie ever did!

And lastly, My grandma Kathy Fisher finished her Chemo treatments last week. What a great example she has been to me and my girls. She fought her battle like a champ with dignity and grace. Never turning my girls way, even on the days she felt totally yucky! I can't imagine getting the news of your own cancer after having endured the huge experience she had did with my Aunt Stacy. I have some great women examples in my life.

These are just a few experiences we've had this summer. Hunting season starts next week along with shipping cattle and getting them ready for winter. I sure have enjoyed getting my yard finished (NOT all the sweat and TEARS) but the feeling you get when you finish such a HUGE task. Cody worked his little heart out.

I hope to report sooner, but if I don't, I will for sure in Feb... Maybe!

15 months

Little Miss Cooper Rose had her 15 month checkup the other day and she is still our little Missy! She weighed in at 18.6 pounds and 33 inches. I actually took her into the doc for a quick checkup because she hadn't been feeling well. I HATE sick kids! Expecially sick Cooper! She's a complete bear and just so sad. She only wanted to be held and if Dallie Jo looked at her she would SCREAM! But its been about a week and she's feeling better. I was worried she might be coming down with RSV but she pulled right through it. Luckily I had my 'snake' oils to help me out!

At 15 month Cooper is:

-Running and falling all over the place. Well she doesn't really run but a quick walk which results in a bonk on the head from not looking when she was going.
-She has a real love/hate relationship with Horses. She loves then from a distance but if she's too close to them she turns the other way and practically climbs her way out of your arms.
-She has a real love/hate relationship with Kyx too. Loves to see him but if he gets too close he usually beats up on her so we keep them separated. I have a feeling Cooper will be able to hold her own sooner than later.
-She loves the Cows. She loves going with Grandpa to feed then and loves to yelll MMMMMMMMo at them. She actually just really loves to go with Grandpa any where and runs to get her coat every time he stops by.
-Little Cooper is going to be a phone jabberer. She pretends to talk on the phone all the time and frequently calls people in my contact list. I have no idea how she can get the lock open; I have a hard time usually.
-She's still been a pretty good eater lately, and her fav is cottage cheese. She loves it! And to prove her love, she usually ends up licking the plate!
-When we teach our primary class on sunday, she flirts with the boys and will go give them hugs, its pretty cute! I would think she'd be more likely to befriend the girls but she's proved to be a man's lady.
-I buzzed her hair! I had it cut to all the same length and it still doesn't look a ton thicker but it did make it look better having it all one length.

I just love having her at this age. As ornery as she has been lately I still really like this age. She is getting so independent and I love watching her learn new things. We've been working on her body parts and she's really good with ears and eyes.

Love you Coopey!

The worth of Souls is great

Its been almost a month since my Uncles passing and I think I'm finally ready to share my feelings:

God knows of our worth and loves us in spite of our sins and wrong doing. He knows just how great we are, even when we don't know our selves.

These last couple weeks has really been a doosey on our family. A man we all loved and admired took his own life. Suicide. What a tragedy! I remember hearing this news for the first time right after he was discovered and my heart just sank. I knew he had always been a bit depressed but never in my wildest dreams thought he would commit suicide!

What was he thinking? What about his poor kids, his poor brothers and sisters, his poor MOTHER!?

As a mother, loosing one of my children is my biggest fear! How could such a sweet lady be faced with such a huge tragedy? So much was racing through my mind that I completely forgot to think of how he was feeling. How terrible it is that he felt so low and little to take his own life. I can't imagine ever being that low.

After a long restless night for his family, my uncle was declared brain dead. The families said their goodbyes and were sent home to plan a funeral.

I know funerals are never planned but you can at least plan on them when that person is OLDER like 90! Not 61! How do you plan a funeral like that?

With the faith of God.

In order for our family to make it through this tragedy we had to have faith in our Heavenly Father that Uncle Scotty would be ok and that he was welcomed into heaven with open, forgiving arms. My cousin said it perfectly, "I'm sure Granddad gave Scott a hug, kicked his butt then said lets so fishing." And I'm sure that is exactly how it was. He wasn't sent away from Heaven he was welcomed and he will now get the help he should have asked for here on earth. He now knows of the worth he is, the worth he was to his kids, his family, his community, his Father in Heaven.

Depression and anxiety are a sickness. A sickness the devil thrives on. He sees someone struggling and sends that person more and more negative thoughts. He did this to Scott for so many years. He saw his weaknesses and built upon them. I had an institute teacher say once, "All negative thoughts and feelings are of the devil. Our loving Heavenly father would NEVER wants us to feel that way." I truly believe this, he would never want us to feel that way, NEVER!

I wish there could have been more I personally could have done to help him but he wasn't in the right state of mind to ask for help. I COMPLETELY look up to my Grandma Carma and her children for the strength they have been for each other. I also admire Scott's kids for stepping up to the plate and doing their best in such a hard time. Although we had such a terrible thing to happen, it has brought my family closer together and taught us to lean on each other.

I will miss you Scott, we all will. Especially on Sundays, each week as we pass grandma's house on the way to church I see that your car isn't there and think, "Well Scott isn't taking gma to church, he must be working." I loved how nice and kid your were to my girls, even when they were teaching your in church when you would fell asleep. Im sorry I couldn't have helped you more, but I'm so very glad we have such a forgiving Heavenly Father that will help us whenever we need him, and he's right by your side now. Rest in Peace!

We have had a great year! We have really enjoyed our second year in our house and love the area we live in. As 2014 came to an end it's hard to believe it's already 2015. Aren't we suppose to be driving flying cars and wearing space suits? (Back to the future said we are!)

Some if our new year resolutions are:

- Kandice needs to finish her craft projects and make peice another blanket this year.
- as a fam we want to go camping more and visit family more.
- Cooper wants to stay little and get that walking thing down! Oh and getting potty trained before two would be awesome!
- Dallie wants to ride her horse in a rodeo and steer him by herself around the barrels,
- Kandice wants to get back to running and have a daily distress walk/run
- Cody wants to either break his horse of bucking or find him another
- and lastly we want to have as much fun as possible mixed with a family vacation some where new.
