Little Hands

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is such a special day. Its a day when I am reminded of just how grateful I am to have such a wonderful mother, mother in law and grandmas and also how grateful and truly blessed I am to be a mother. I love my job as mother and I wouldn't change it for anything. (Even if she doesn't take naps and is wilder than ever, I still love her!)
I have had so many great examples and have learned so much from them all. I've learned to craft, cook(I must admit, I need a few more lessons), ride, work, tease, and care for others from my loving mother. I've learned to cook, clean, and worry about others from my Grandma Kathy and my Grandma Carma has always been the spiritual rock in my life. And I can't forget my sweet mother in law, she has shown me how to have fun and truly enjoy my time with family and we do some awesome shopping together!

I'm truly so blessed to be a mother and to have great and wonderful women in my life to learn from.

Aug 1, 2010 was one of the best days in my life.... that's when I became a mother to the sweetest, wildest, and cutest little girl... EVER!

Here is the little saying that was card Jo made for me in nursery:

My Hand prints

Sometimes you get discouraged because I am so small,
And always leave my hand prints on furniture and walls.

But everyday I'm growing, and I'll be grownup some day.
And all these tiny hand prints will simply fade away.

So here are my final hand prints just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked when I was very small!

I loved this little poem and I'm so glad her nursery leaders took the time to trace her little wiggly hand. (I had to trick her into letting me trace it for our mom's card.)

Pick Pocket Pehrson

This weekend we had the wonderful opportunity to go to the temple and see my cousin Toni C. get married in the Draper Temple. We also were able to work in a very, very, very early morning session which was wonderful too.
While we were at the temple, we left Miss Jo with Grandma Carrie in Spanish Fork. Grandma was so excited to have her and Jo just about jumped out of my arms into gma's when we got to Cody's sister's house that morning.

Grandma had this to report:
Jo, Grandma, Kache, Kohlbin and Aunt Kristen had a great time jumping on the tramp, playing in the sand, going for a bike ride and getting an icey. Well earlier in the day, Gma gave Jo some money and Jo put that in her pocket. (She loves money! She's always begging for more and when she gets it she puts in her pocket or in her piggy bank... which i had it just about full!) Well when they got to the snow shack, so gave her money to Kohlbin and then asked Gma for more. Gma said, "you already took mine." So to check for herself, Jo stuck her hand in Gma's pocket to make sure she wasn't fibbing. Well since Gma didn't have any, she worked her way to Kristen, then Kohlbin, then the man behind them in line and then the girl behind him! Gma said to the man and girl, "This is how we taught our kids to pay for their ice's! ha ha ha
Well they proceed to eat their iceys and Gma said they we covered from head to toe in sugar stickiness!
I would have died if I were there... Seriously, I promise we didn't teach her that! Gma said it was pretty cute and so funny to see the man and girl's shocked faces!

So not only do we have to get Jo to stop saying no, but we have to teach her about stealing... at 1 3/4yrs old! AWE!

PS if you ever get to the Draper temple, notice (well its hard not to notice) all the HUGE homes which surrounds the temple. I honestly couldn't believe them, they are ginormous! Just saying... Go check them out. AND Congrats Toni and Kyle, you two are a perfect couple.

Dallie Dailys

A few new Jo things:

-Dallie has started calling her Daddy... 'CODY!' Its seriously so funny! Cody doesn't like it but I think its hillarious and she got it from me.... cuz whenever I get dinner ready and Jo and I are sitting there waiting on him I say, "Cody! Come on!"

-Today while babysitting Miss Jaxie, the girls got a little quiet and I went into Jo's room to investigate and there was jo reading a book to J and her two babies. Serious the cutest thing I've ever seen.

-She also says No to everything along with a little finger waving. Its not a very good habit! Well on Saturday we went to the temple after we got done fishing and Jo rode home from Vernal with Grandma and Grandpa Fisher and I was told that Jo and Gma had a little stand off. Jo said, "No." to Gma and Gma said, "We don't say no to Grandma." And that resulted in a little fight. Ha ha I can only imagine!

-Last night while eating dinner, Jo was a little naughty. She wouldn't sit down in her chair she kept tell us no and  in a result to that Cody says, "Dallie if you say no one more time you'll go into time out. Do you want to go into time out?" Jo's response was, "No!" I said come on Honey, what else was the poor girl suppose to say?... Yes dad I want to go to time out..." ha ha

Oh the joys of parenthood and not know what the heck your doing!

Fishing 2012

Fishing 101:

Catch this fish, Clean the fish, Eat the fish!

And that's just what we did!

Yesterday we were lucky enough to get away and do some fishing for the first time this year. We made the little trip up to Matt Warner and knocked them dead! Seriously/literally... ha ha
Jo wasn't too set on fishing at first cuz it was a little windy and kinda chilly but as soon as she saw the fish she was thrilled!

Look at her face! Too funny! She liked watching the fish but when it came to touching it she didn't want to. Cody said, "Give it a kiss!" She yelled, "NO!"
Close up!
PS that  big one is mine!
All tuckered out.
If you notice, down by her belly she is showing a little skin... well that little bit of skin got a little sunburn. She's going to have an awesome tan line!
So in the past,  Cody and I haven't had much luck fishing since Alaska. The few times we've gone we've caught very little, if any at all.
BUT this time we actually had to start throwing fish back cuz we were over our limit!

Lets just say, we'll be going again for sure!

PS the fish was mighty tasty. It made a great Sunday dinner

Pehrsons lately....

Ummm for some reason I keep telling everyone that Jo is 22 months... What am I doing? She's already grown up so fast that I shouldn't be adding another month! So yes she is only 21 months but she acts like she's going on 5!

I can't believe its already May! Where the heck did April go? Well we've been pretty busying trying to get things in line to start building... WHAT A LONG PROCESS! Seriously this building business is crazy! We are just getting our contractor bids back and hoping to pick one soon so we can get our building permit and the loan process going. So the plan now it to hopefully start building the first part of June! OR as soon as possible! Tomorrow would be good.

So Jo is trying to talk in sentences and most of the time we can only pick up a few words but she sure tries! And she is understanding more and more things every day. Just last weekend she was watching a movie and as soon as it was over Cody said, "Stop the movie Jo." Well little Miss Busy Body, goes over to the DVD player, pushes stop, ejects the dvd, takes the dvd out, puts it in it's case and closed the dvd player! We just watched in awe as she did it all herself... just like she had done it a million times.

We helped my Grandpa work his baby calves last weekend too. What a fun time we have being up working with the calves. We were able to saddle up the horses and go for a little ride. Since Dallie is still a little too little to ride on her own she rides on the front of us...  she loves it so much; we just about can't get her off! She stubbornly told Grandpa Brent, NO with her little finger waving as he tried to pull her off the horse; she was NOT ready to get off the horse. It was too funny.

She's also been on the baby kick. She has to take her babies, yes babIES everywhere with her. She feeds them, rocks them, does their hair, takes them on horse rides, sleeps with them and shows them to everyone. In the grocery store yesterday she would hold them up and as someone would walk by she would say, BABY cute! And of course they would stop and say yes your baby is cute and she would smile and then they'd tell me how cute my little girl was and that never gets old! ha ha

Jo taking her babies for a ride, just like she does with Mom and Dad!
Funny story: Jo was watching Gnomeo and Juliet for the 1st time. Well in the movie Gnomeo gets smashed and when that happened Jo started bawling and whaling that he died. She buried her face in her hands and just sobbed. Then just a few minutes later it shows that he really didn't die and she started laughing. She has a tender heart like her Mamma!

So thats about it! I now doesnt sound like much but for some reason we have no time! It seems like we're always running around. Hopefully we'll have house building pics soon!

And I just had to share this pic....

We've still been working on the potty training thing.. yeah its pretty much just a thing that she does once in awhile. She will tell us every once in awhile that she does need to go but for the most part she does. I left her for just a minute to let her do her business and Cody calls, Mom we need your camera and this is the product! ha I love it!

Sorry this post is a bit jumbled... I just wrote what popped in my head!

EASTER 2012

Like last year we went to Delta for Easter. We like all the action and the fun stuff Gma and Gpa Pehrson have planned for the kids. We dyed eggs, ate eggs, hunted eggs, and ate more eggs.

Just a little taste!

She was covered! She like the red color best, Meaning she thought tasted better than the kind with the vinegar in it! haha

That night we had a fun night Easter Egg hunt! On pinterst there was a fun idea of putting a glow stick in a plastic egg and then having the kids find them... THEY LOVED IT!

Don't you love her PJs and boots!

Baby Blade too got in on the night hunt! He wasn't quite ready for the flash of my camera!

The next day we went to the Easter Egg hunt in Hinkley.

Jo wanted those eggs so bad! We thought it started at 9 when really it was at 9:30. So the excited kids had to wait 30 long minutes before they could get those eggs.

Later that day, we attended Kohlbin's 5th Pirate birthday party. Kache and Jo liked the pirate hats and the jeep.

While at the party, there was a hunt for the treasure... Jo is always trying to keep up the bigger kids. She did a pretty good job.

Easter Morning!

Peek!

We had a very good weekend and the weather was really awesome. We got our first sunburn of the season and we loved seeing all our friends and families. One of the funnest parts of our weekend was playing BANG the card game with Cody's family! It took forever to learn but it was so fun to play after we got the swing of things. Check it out!

Messy girl!

So the other day, I put Jo down for a nap and about 10 minutes later I hear her crying a little bit, so I went to check on her and found this.....

Yes, That's diaper rash cream...
Yes, she managed to get it right on the rim of her eye. And I guess sucking on her horses head made her feel better.
And yes poison control was called and just for your information, A&D diaper rash cream is not poisonous and most likely not toxic if eaten or in her case rubbed in her eye... that is if used in moderation!

Little Stink!
