Grandpa Bruce J. Hartman
November 21, 1916-Oct. 25, 2011
I have a little pony and his name was Jack... We put in stable and he jumped through a crack!
No one could possibly count the number of times this little poem was recited by my Great Grandpa Bruce Hartman's to his grand kids... Hundreds I'm sure. Grandpa was up for reciting every and any poem he had ever heard; if you had the time he could go on for hours! And he always knew every word and told them with such humor and personality.
He could usually, always remember his grand kids birthdays and would bring them a little something. He lived a long productive life (94 years!) and with help from my Grandma Kathy and Aunt Cynthia he was able to live on his own and take care of himself up until his passing... And even though he wasn't the best driver, he was very determined that he could and he did drive when ever he wanted. (Good thing the post office was only a few miles away.) Even though he could be a little stinker and hard headed at times, he will be missed and his memories will continue on as we remember all his jokes, poems and chants.
