Monster BABY!

Dallie Jo is a Monster today!
I'm not sure if she is teething or if she is just having a bad day, but she is SUPER whinny!

Just a simple, "Dallie get away from the flowers," sends her into a crying fit!
  • If I put her down when she wants to walk... she Screams,
  • If I walk out of the room... she Screams
  • If I try to wipe her face off... Oh Boy, she Screams!
  • If I take the electrical cord away so she won't get electrocuted.... She REALLY Screams
And this was all before 10AM!

Lets just say... She may be For Sale!
Actually I'd never Sale her, but I might just give her away...
I'm TOTALLY Kidding! I love that little Cutie too much,
Even if she is a Monster!

Hoppy EASTER!
We're a little early, but I just couldn't hold this cute picture to myself any longer!
Its April! Which means... Dallie Jo is 8 months old and it's EASTER!
I really like Easter, all the pastel colors, baby animals being born, warmer weather is on it's way, (we all like that!) And not to mention the celebration of the Resurrection of Christ.
I especially like Easter time because it gives us an excuse to get a new Easter dress and its another reason to go visit family and friends!

Things Dallie Jo learned in March:
- She's a rolling fool! It's funny how in just one month she can go from being content sitting by her toys or reading a book, but now she's rolling everywhere. She goes from the kitchen to the living room, to her bedroom, to the bathroom....
-She'll eat on anything, besides peas baby food! She loves tags, the remote, our phones and dirty shoes... Gross! Cody says he's going to buy her a doggie chew toy and I wouldn't doubt that she'd be just fine with that.
- Thanks to Grandpa Great Fisher, She's a little finger grabber and wants to be walked everywhere!
- Jibber Jabber is her style of talking.
- She's learned how to throw a fit, by laying on her stomach with her face in her hands. She's pretty Dramatic!
- Loves visitors, even if its just the UPS man.
- She's a Smarty Pants; she learns something new everyday...
- She's not yet crawling, but she gets on all fours and just about does it, but then at the last minute rolls over.
- She LOVES being outside. By rolling to the door and pounding on it, this is her way of saying I want to go outside. Even just a quick trip to the mailbox will satisfy her for about..... 5 minutes.
- She thinks she's too cool for an afternoon nap, but by the time bed time rolls around, she wants to go to bed at seven and wake up and play at 9... Sorry Girlfriend! It a fight giving her a nap OR keeping her awake so she'll sleep at night.
- Her Nightly Routines now is: Ride Trigger, Eat an icecream and Walk Circles around her toys with the help of Daddy.

P.S. how do you like the one sock look? She's starting a new fab.

Missing him...

Cody has been in Wyoming since Sunday
and won't be back until Saturday...
and Miss Jo is missing her daddy.
At night whenever she hears a door close
she looks toward our back door for Cody to come walking in.
And the other night while we were walking circles
I stopped and showed her our family picture.
I pointed out MommyDaddy, and Dallie Jo.
When I pointed out daddy
she leaned forward and gave him a kiss.
It was so sweet!
Needless to say, Saturday couldn't come any sooner!

Ear Update
Day 3: Dallie Jo slept very well last night too. Apparently the tubes are helping; if only I could get used to her new schedule. I get up and check her through out the night just to make sure she's okay. Today is also the last day I have to give her some drops, so we'll see what the rest of the week brings.

Play Date

Meet Hazlie!
She is Dallie Jo's Best Friend!
Today I took Dallie Jo to play with Hazlie and I think they had a pretty good time.
Hazlie is six weeks older than Dallie and its fun to see them in different stages. I was hoping Miss Hazlie would teach Dal how to crawl but she was too busy playing, crawling, walking and....  Sitting on Dallie's head.
Yes that's right, sitting on Dallie's head
Sharrie and I were talking and we look over and there is Hazlie perched on Dallie's head just looking around.. it was too FUNNY!

Dallie Jo is going to have to get tougher to keep up with Hazlie

Dallie Jo was slowly walking with Hazlie's little walker and Miss H crawled over, stood up and took off walking and left Dallie in her dust....

It's been so fun having other friends who are going through the same stuff and I am with Dallie Jo.
Hazlie was so dang funny! She was here and there and pulling herself up and down.
Sharrie is going to really be in trouble once she gets walking. Forget that, she's going to be running before long!
Thanks for letting us come play! We will definitely have to come again soon.

Ear Update
Day 2: Baby Jo slept from 7pm to 7am! Oh happy day, I mean night! AND she didn't freak out when I put her ear drops in. I was feeding her at the time but that seems to help; she wasn't screaming and wiggling all over. She's still kind somber but she's getting back to her normal self.

Mmmmm!

Mmm... Mmm... Good!
So... Do you think she enjoyed those Cheetos and apple wagon wheels?
Looks like she Loved 'Em!

EAR UPDATE:
Day 1: Dallie Jo slept from 10pm to 7am last night without waking up, yahoo! She took two naps today and seems to be feeling better. She sleeps sounder too. Before getting the tubes, if we stepped on the wrong floor board (We have TERRIBLY squeeky floor boards, ask anyone who have ever been to our house) she'd wake up. Now I can walk back and forth with no wakey, wakey!
When it comes time for me to give her, her antibiotic drops, she puts up a real good fight. She hates them! She freaks out and will barely hold still for me to put them in. The doctor did say the drops might kinda hurt when they first go in the ear, so I can't tell if she's mad because she has to hold still -OR- if they hurt her.

Early Morning Procedures

Early this morning, My mom and I took Miss D, in to get tubes put in her ears.

Doctors/Technology these days are so great! They didn't have to do any needle work for this procedure, they just used some gas and to put her out.
The surgery took about 5 mins to finish and she was back in about 25 minutes.
But Boy was she mad! I could hear her screaming in the recovery room, and when they brought her back to me, she was screaming even louder and wasn't sure what she wanted.
It was so Sad! Poor lil Baby!
It was kinda bitter sweet that she only wanted her Mamma.
She cuddled into my shoulder and sobbed in my hair.
Dr. Catten talked with us and said they drained quite a bit of fluid from her ear and said there was quite a bit of pressure on the ear drum. He said everything went great and these tubes she should really help her feel alot better.
Its pretty cool how fast they were.
Look at that face!
The nurses said she probably wasn't in pain, just a little dizzy from the gas and confused as to why she was mad.
I felt so bad! We just cuddled and I gave her lots of kisses.
As we were leaving, she gradually cheered up and was glad to be leaving. By the time we got back to our house, she was a happier and had stopped screaming and was ready to play with Grandma.

She's sleeping now, and will probably sleep most of the day.
I sure hope these tubes make her feel better!

And here are just a few happier pictures. On Saturday it was so nice! Well it was warm, almost 80 degrees!
We didn't go outside much because it was pretty breezy but it was warm enough for her to wear a cute summer outfit.

Her favorite thing to do; Love on DAD!

No Foolin...

Dallie Jo is 8 Months Old Today... No Foolin!
If only it was an April Fool's joke... But sadly, it's not.
She's growing too fast!
(I usually post some of her newest tricks and things I want to remember about last month, but there just isn't anytime today! Coming Soon...)
