So this last week has been pretty hard.... hard in the sense that we finally bit the bullet and took away the binky. I seriously thought she might cry for it a few nights, but its been a week since she had a good, working binky and she is still mad at us. I decided to go with putting a hole in the bottle of the binky so she can't keep it in her mouth very well. Well in return to us ruining her bink, we haven't had a full night of sleep. She actually hasn't been asking for the bink as much but she just doesn't sleep as well and she seems to be so much whinnier.
Reasons to keep the Bink:
1- She sleeps at night
2- She loved it so much
3- She sleeps at night
4- She wouldn't walk around the house grunting and whinning
5- She sleeps at night!
6- Her naps went from (2) 1.5 hr naps to (1) 45 min nap! AWE!
Reasons to get rid of the binky:
1- The dentist said so
2- The dentist said so
3- The dentist said so
When Cody got home from work today I said, "I'm giving it back." Cody says, "We've come so far." haha
Who would have thought it would be so hard?... Not me!

New kid on the block
I forgot one very important detail about our vacation.... while we were gone my little sister Quincee had her baby! That's right Baby Kazden Karl Scholes made his way into this crazy world on February 8, 2012 at about 5 in the morning... and we kinda like him!
How do you like the hunter hat I made him? It started off as an experiment, but it turned out pretty cute!
I actually should have made it bigger cuz it barely fits him!
And she kinda likes him ALOT!
Poor little guy isn't going to have a chance, Jo jo loves him so much!
18 & 30
So we got home from our vacation on Monday the 13th and on the 15th we had Dallie Jo's 18 month baby wellness check up. Her stats are: 24.5 pound; 50% in her age group & she is 32.5 inches tall; 75% in her age group.
AND Cod Man had a birthday on February 17! That's right... He's the Dirty Thirty! The night before his birthday I snuck out to his work truck and filled it full of balloons and I did the 30 suck(er)s little birthday treat for him. I know going to work on his birthday isn't that fun but we sure love and appreciate how hard he works for us! Happy Birthday Honey Bunny!

Fun on the ship...
So pretty much we ate and ate and ate some more on the ship. They had everything from pizza to a Mongolian grill and the best option they had was a 24hour soft ice cream dispenser... That got plenty of use that's for sure.
So for breakfast you ate buffet, for lunch you ate buffet and for diner we had a nice formal diner everynight at 6. And let me just add we had the best waiters and waitress you could ask for.
Miss Lexie all dressed up!
So cute! Daddy and Dallie
Dallie Jo and Grandpa Dave dancing. Gpa Dave was her FAVORITE the whole time on the ship. She would jump out of your arms to get to him.
Kohlbin and Dallie dancing
Meet Menzi, she was our waitress and she loved Dallie. She would give her kisses and hugs every chance she got.
Happy, Happy birthday baby!
Cody's birthday wasn't until the 17 but we had a little birthday celebration at diner and that little cake was MmMmMm good!
These were our diner help. They served us every meal and were very nice and polite.
Menzi, Dorian, and Romeo.. Yes Romeo!
We asked them how long they were on the ship and they work for seven month straight then has two and half months off. That's 12-13 hour days, seven days a week, for seven months!
We were also pleasantly surprised to hear of Romeo's wife who had just twins the day before we left. You could tell it was hard for him to talk about. All the workers on the ship were so hard working. Our cabin would get cleaned twice a day and they were always nice when they greeted you.
And of course we couldn't forget the towel animals. They made us a new one everyday and I especially loved seeing their new creation every night after diner!
So pretty much that's it. We had a great time and were sad to have our vacation come to a close but at the same time we were ready to get home and have the earth stand still again!
Puerto Vallarta
After Cabo we spent one day in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Prt Vallarta was totally different than I tought. Its much cleaner than Cabo and its very tropical compared to the desert looking Cabo.
She's ready to go!
Pirate ARRRR...
While in Puerto Vallarta we went on a pirate ship excursion. Cody thought it was lame and I got really sea sick from the rocking of the boat but the kids loved it!
Pirate Peppa
She wasn't sure if she liked the pirates.
While on the ship, they played a few games, put on a show and served us lunch. These next pics are part of the show.
He was trying to fit in with the rest of the tourists.
Walk the plank!
After the show they took us ashore to play in the sand. I loved Puerto Vallarta's beach. It was so warm and we had fun boogy boarding. Not to mention the beach was beautiful!
Don't you just love the beer belly in the back? haha
After a long, hard time playing on the beach she was tuckered out! So... Cody and I took the chance to go kyacking and to feed the fish. We took a short trip around the rocks and threw some bread into the water and the fish came by swarms! They were so bright and colorful.
(Sorry no pics.)
After diner on the pirate ship and alittle sea sickness I was ready to get off that pirate ship... I think I'm for sure a land lover!
We still had a few hours before our cruise ship left the port so we took a little cab into downtown PT. V. and it was there, where Cody found a cute little candy shop with a cute little mexician girl who just loved Cody's little brothers eyes.. I'm pretty sure she wanted him.
`I pretty much loved Puerto Vallarta and you for sure you wouldn't have to beg me to visit there again.
Cabo
Cabo St. Lucius, MEXICO
We spent two days in Cabo. The first day we went out on a little, teeny, tiny glass bottom boat into the middle of the ocean whale watching. This may have been the coolest moment in Cabo ever!
Since we were in such a little boat it took us a while to get out into the ocean. We looked and looked and looked for whale. We could see them off in the distance but nothing up close. We were about to give up when Cody's brother in law Don says there's one... we rushed over to where he had seen it and yes in deed there was a whale. We were less than 50 feet from it! It came up and blew the water and showed us just how big its back is. As it started to dive into the water it flipped its huge tail out of the water; seriously it was as big as truck! We were all little kids again... it was Awesome! Simply amazing!
(luckily Ashley P got some pics, I'll have to steal them)
Jojo wasn't sure if she liked this little boat.
After seeing that awesome whale we headed back in to Lover's beach.
Our little Mexican tour dude showed us a little cave on Lover's beach and he said that two go in and three come out... haha Needless to say we didn't go into that cave... haha
1st time swimming in the ocean!
If you look really close you can see Cody's pink snorkel gear pocking up out of the water.
You could tell when he would get a little too much water cuz all of a sudden he'd come up and his mask would get riped off and he's arms would be swinging.
Dallie Jo and Keegan
She just about lost her pants, she had been collecting sand in her britches.
The second day in Cabo was a little chilly and rainy!
So the boys went fishing and the girls went shopping... I had a pretty good time bargaining with those little Mexicans. If only we could do that in the States!
Lets go Cruisin!
15 Pehrsons... I don't think Carnival cruise line was ready for this!
Honestly, we looked like we were packed for two weeks not 7 days!
The Carnival Splendor!
She's ready to go swimming!
