Memorial Day 2014

We had a really great Memorial Day camping trip with the Pehrsons. We ended up traveling down to Richfield then to Koosharem, then we headed up the mountain. 

Dallie is a camping Fool! She loves it and was such a good girl. She followed the boys around then she played with the girls and then we couldn't get her out of the razor. Cooper liked all the four wheeler rides too. We saw lots if elk, deer and lot and lots of other at riders. 

Ducks

Our new favorite pastime! We have so much fun watching, chasing, counting and feeding these ol ducks. Thanks to my friend Yawna Lindsay for raising them and bringing them over for us to enjoy. Dang things follow us every where but Jo loves it!

5 years!

Jo: mom what are you doing?

Me: I'm getting ready to go on a hot date.

Jo: with my daddy Cody?

Me: actually his name is Brian.

Jo: but you're married to my dad Cody.

Me: I know but I'm going out with Brian.

Jo: I'm going to tell my dad!

And she storms off... I later explained tht her dad's first name is Brian. She was pretty mad at me there for awhile!

 Brian Cody Pehrson and myself celebrated our 5 yr anniversary on the 16th! That's right, 5 yrs and we even got away to dinner alone! I'm so lucky to have such a good man!

Ps look at these beautiful flowers he got me... Oh and yes he knew just what I wanted, a sander! ( I only hinted a few times!)

6 months

Cooper can't really be 6 months old!

At 6 months Cooper:

-Still loves to be held. Last weekend I helped my family work calves and my mom and cousin Maddie Z. watched Cooper. Let's just say, I'm sure Maddie has sore arms the day after from holding coop all. day. long! 

- Oh those hands! They are into everything they can reach. Always wrapped up in my hair, grabbing at your food and stealing your drink. She likes to grab a small stand of my hair and pull it over her face, and when I say, "don't pull my hair!" She just smiles.

- I started her on some mush last month and she seemed to like it and didn't seem to get a bellyache but almost everything else upsets her belly. I'm going yo have to make a sign that says, 'don't feed the baby!' I do have to admit, it's so hard not to share a little snack when she's begging for it. I seriously don't know how I'm going to get her on solid foods cuz she gets a belly ache from everything lately.

- She adores her sissy. Dal is about the only one who can make laugh.

- She loves her Mommy.

- She teases her Dad and becoming more of a daddy's girl everyday.

- Last week her sister and her caught a cold and let's just say her smiles were few and far between. She was NOT a happy camper. But now they're slowly coming back. But she's a but more on the sober side than dal ever was. 

- She is a terrible traveler! On the way to something she's fine, but the ride home is a challenge cuz shes so spoiled!
-As far as rolling goes, she is getting so close. I think if her sister would let her lay on the ground with bout being wrestled she probably would. Actually of she wasn't so spoiled and wanted to be held all the time I know she would. She really gets close in the tub when she's trying to drink the water!

- She's not a fan of her bouncer chair but really likes the play saucer. It keeps her busy for a good 30 mins while I cook dinner. 

- She is wearing size 6-9, size 1 shoes, and size 2 diaper.

- She's our little baldy! There is no hair on that head! Jo at least had enough for a curl on her head but serious Coop has none! Just a little bit of peach fuzz.
- Her newest trick is blowing bubbles, she doesn't give as many kisses as she use to. I miss that.
- She wants to do something all the time. She always wants to go, go, go but doesn't know what she wants to do so she just gets spoiled and gets held while I clean because she isn't whinning or fussy when I do. She's got quite the vocal cords.

- Did I mention that she's super cute, super fun but oh so spoiled? But we sure love her!

Mothers

As this is Mother's Day weekend I wanted to give an early shout out to my dear Mother and Mother in law. How awesome are they!? So awesome!

For one thing, my mom is always there for me. She came and stayed with me after I had Cooper while Cod was gone to Brasil. (because I had some terrible baby blues) She cooked, cleaned, listened to me patiently and lovingly and gave me hugs when all I wanted to do was cry. She's my crafting partner and she's always up for a quick shopping trip. My girls adore her and she always has something fun for them to try. I have learned so much from her from cooking to riding horses. She's quite the little farm lady. Whenever I'm having a bad day she helps me see the bright side of things and helps me remember the big picture of life. 

And I owe my mother in law for raising Cod into the man he is today. She has such a good relationship with all her kids and just loves her grand kids more than anything. Dave and Carrie raised their kids to be hard workers and to always do their best and we are trying to pass this trait onto our girls. Carrie is a fellow hunting widow and a craft lover. It's fun to watch her with her grand kids cuz she just plays and plays and plays with them. Just a couple weeks ago while Cod and Dave were gone to Iowa she was outside with Dal and I heard giggling, I look outside and they are both in Dal's tiny spaceship playing. 

I truly have the best mothering examples! I have my own mother, Cody's mom, 2 grandmas, numerous aunts and cousins, 2 sisters, 4 sister in laws, and a granny in law. Just today on Facebook one of my cousins wrote how she was frustrated with her kid's messes. She was picking up the messes when it occurred to her that without the messes she would be without kids. She went on to say how she was so grateful for her kids and so grateful tht god entrusted her to be their mother. 

I feel thee exact way! I am so very grateful for my two little noise makers and I truly love them more than anything! I am so glad they chose to come to Cody and I's family, life would not be the same with out them. 

I always knew I wanted to be a mom. In college I had a hard time picking a major because in the back of my mind I knew what I REALLY wanted to be, a mom! Some days I get impatient and just need a few hours out, but by the end of day I still love being a mom more than anything. 

I hope all the mothers out there have a great day! And let your kids do the dishes! 

Let's just say, her head was going faster than her feet! 

Wow! This month has flown by! I just realized I missed Coopers five month update, but since she'll be six months next week I'll just date then.

I simply can't believe it's May... Really? Cooper is going to be half a year old and my Jo will be 4, yes 4 in three months! 

This last week has been quite the week. We stated the greatness with Cooper getting a cold after Easter, then dal started getting one and then by last weekend they both came down with croup. Not. Fun! And poor gma Carrie came for a visit and it was windy and cold and both girls were bears. And i was so tired from being up with them doing steam treatments and making sure they were all right tht I was a walking vombie. 

Cody on the other hand took a quick trip and I mean quick trip to Iowa to pick up the skidsteer he tracked down. Cod and his dad left on Saturday morning, drove straight to Iowa, got there at 1:30am, slept for 4 hours, loaded the machine and was home by 2am Monday morning. And like the dedicated employee he is, went to work Monday at 530. (He was suppose to have it off but a guy at works wife had a baby so he said he'd help out) they had hoped to be home earlier but they got caught in Cheyenne for about two hours due to road closures from snow and high winds. 

I ended up taking the girls to the doc on Monday, dal was given a steroid for her cough and Coop was too little for anything and he said her cough hadn't quite turned into croup... Yet so we were sent home to wait it out. 

I'm happy to say, Dal is finally getting better. She still has a cough but she's slept through the night the last two nights and coop's cough doesn't sound nearly as manly as it did. I think a big factor to them feeling better is the doterra oils I started using on them. No the oils didn't take the colds away but I think they helped minimize them. I'm not huge on them cuz I was a bit of a skeptic but I really do think they helped. I stated using the on guard mix right after coop was born and we had very little sicknesses at out house until now. (Which like a dumby I stopped using the oils because it was getting warm.) let's just say I'm staring to believe more tht they do help. 

Needless to say, we are ready for a fun weekend. No sickies, no wind, and no ornery girls!
