Easter Weekend!

This weekend, Cody and I went to Delta to see his little niece Dakota get blessed. She's the cutest little girl. She was born with a ton of hair and it just pokes out every where. It was a great weekend.

Cody's other niece Lexee is on the left side and Dakota is on the right. They are so fun!

We also picked up some of our wedding invites, and I am sooooooo happy! I love them. I had my cousin Amanda Alexander design them and she did so awesome! She's is so fun to work with and I highly recommend her. I think I probably drove her to drinking and she'll probably be so happy when my wedding is over, but I think she's just so Great! We also got a few of our engagement prints back and they look even better printed than they did on the net. I love them so much! Here's a preview:

We had so many cute pics to pick from, but this one has become one of my faves!

On our way to Delta, We dropped my little sister off at my Aunt Ellen's house. Quincee got asked to Payson High's Prom by one of my cousin Lacey's friend. The two talked me into doing their hair, so Cody loved sitting there listening to my other cousin talk about weggies! ha ha, Good thing we'll be married before he meets the rest of the Mathews'. JK! I love them all!

Aren't these two HOTTIES!
Quincee looks so grown up! She just got her braces off and her pearly whites looks so great! I'm proud to say, she is wearing my old prom dress.... Black is back! ha ha. You can't see it very well, but she looked so cute! We kept teasing her that she actually looked like a girl! Not that she doesn't usually, but she's no girly-girl!

And now I have to brag on my luv, Mr. Cody! I think it was back in November, Cody went hunting with his dad up to Canada. Cody's dad, Dave shot a pretty good white tail deer and my man Cody shot this huge Elk! Its really really big, I could barely lift the rack. It scored a 394! Which I don't totally understand the measuring system, but I've that's a very very good score!

Since we don't have a house...yet, Cody's brother Jason is going to house Cody's baby until we find a house. We'll probably have to build a house around this monster... ha ha! These pictures really do not do it justice, but its great and the taxidermist did a really good job.

Cody's brother Jason's just built a new house in Delta, its a log cabin style home and it pretty awesome. The Elk fits in perfectly! But you have to stand at the very end of the room to see the full mount because it so big.

Well that's about all for now, only
33 more days
until Cody and I's big day and I can't wait!

This is another pics from our Ice Fishing trip.
This pic shows Cody and I's burned faces really well!

PS: If you'd like to receive an invite to our reception, please email me.
We'd love everyone to join us on our special day!

Honest Scrap...

Well I got his Honest Scrap from my favorite cousin named Laura Jane @ http://patchofheaven2boyz.blogspot.com/. I guess I'm suppose to tell you ten honest things about me.... so Here we go!

#1 I am so very very dang excited to be getting married in:
one month & 16 days!
#2 I swallowed a toothpick when I was younger and have a wonderful 5 inch scar on my stomach from it. Don't swallow toothpicks... they're bad for you!

#3 I secretly want to have my own craft/scrapbook store. So maybe that's not too of a secret but it would be so fun to have my own place, and to be able to craft as much as I want to!
I LOVE crafting!

#4 I HATE needles! and human blood! I'm actually getting a little better but when I watch Grey's Anatomy (which I'm obsessed with...) I get wheezy when they show the operating stuff... I have to cover my eyes! I had to get my blood drown today actually and I felt light headed and I couldn't watch them put the needle in.

#5 I'm kinda nervous to go through the temple but mostly so excited! Its going to be such a great blessing to receive my endowments and also be one step closer to being sealed for time and all eternity with Coder in the temple. I just got a burst of excitement!

#6 I love to ride horses and work cows! I'm a cowgirl through and through and trailing cows in the mtns is seriously one of my favorite things!

#7 I'm 22 years old and have never flown on an airplane or seen the ocean.... I know I had a rough childhood! ha ha I think for Cody and I's honeymoon we're flying, to where ever we're going so that will be so much fun!
#8 I secretly want to learn how to yodel.... I'm not sure if its a learned talent of if you're born with this marvelous talent....? I just think It'd be really cool! I'm a dork, I know!
#9 I really really really someday want to own my own cabin and live in it all summer! My uncle Ray lives up in Moon Lake all summer long and I wish I could just leave the world for a little while and live in my own paradise.
#10 AND Did I say how excited I am to soon be Mrs. Cody Pehrson! I'm the luckiest girl in the world! I haven't been feeling very well the last couple weeks (the docs have no idea why I'm sick, they think it could be ulcers, an inflamed spleen or a disease gall blatter... tests to follow) and Cod-man has been so concerned, loving and cattering to my every needs. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be with him for eternity! Doesn't Kandice Lyn Pehrson sound so good!?!
Alright, Alright enough with the boring stuff..... Now I TAG: Besty, Brooke, Lea, Tara, Mal, Merralee, Yawna, Jenny Cooper! Now get going!

Great Weekend

Well this weekend Cody and I went and got our engagement pictures taken in Mapleton, UT. I talked my Aunt Ellen's step daughter Amanda Alexander into covering our wedding pics and engagement pic. She was so great! I had so much fun, and Cody said he didn't hate it. We seriously were there for less than 45 minutes, so hopefully we don't look like dorks. My Aunt Ellen came and was our 'flasher'! I think probably Cody's face was pretty red in a few pics from the funny comments Ellen and Amanda. We had fun!

Stay tuned for the results of our photo shoot! Here is Amanda's website, http://amandaalexanderphotography.com check it out! She's so fun and nice to work with! We're very lucky to have her in our family! Thanks Amanda!

PS We only have 54 more days! I'm too excited! Also Coder booked our honeymoon, he won't tell me exactly where we're going but I do know, we're going for 15 days! I'm so excited! Coder is so great! Love him!

That's about all for now!

Ice Fishing 2009

The last weekend in February Cody and I went icefishing with his whole family (minus the little brother Kjell who is on a mission in Iwoa) to Fish Lake. We had a blast! It was so fun, except for the peeling noses and blistered lips I got. We were suppose to get engagement pictures that next weekend and well we couldn't because of the uglyness of my lips and his peeling nose. But it was pretty worth it!

As you can see, we didn't catch too many
"BIG FISH", but we did catch a ton of little ones. Cody, Ashley (soon to be sister-inlaw) and I started a competition to see who could catch the most fish and well Cody at the end had the most, but he started the game with five and Ash and I didn't have any.
The ending score was:
Cody-16
Ashley-12
Kandice-14
It was so very fun, as soon as you'd put your hook in, you'd be reeling another little whopper in.

This is Cody's mom, Carrie! She is so fun. She's such a good grandma, she makes all her grandkids feel so special and important. This is my favorite picture!

These are Cody's nephews and Neice. They are so cute and so funny! Keegan tells the best fish stories! "I catch a fish this BIG, and Uncle Tody, you catch one this BIG!" I think he's learned these fish stories from he's Uncle Cody, or maybe his Grandpa Pehrson!

All in all, we had a great day. Just playing around on the ice and getting sunburnt! We'll be prepared next year with hats, sunblock, and more worms!

Update!

Well I thought when I started this thing, that I would post all the time... well no! There is just not time!

Well time flies when your having fun and busy! Cody and I really don't get to see each other much but when we do its the best. For Valentines day we celebrated a day early because his Aunt passed away and her funeral was on Valentines day. We went to diner at Hollow Moon and then went to probably one of the best movies I've seen in a while, Taken. Coder gave me a beautiful spray of roses and a gift certificate to the Diva Salon in Vernal! The next day we traveled down to Delta for the funeral and then stayed the night at his brother Jason's house. His nephews are so much fun to play with: McKrae, Keegan and Kohlbin. They are starting to warm up to me and I'm very excited. They all act so different and are so loving and fun!

Well Cody has learned that I'm not very good with surprises, I just like to know! So he tries to surprise me as much as possible; so when we got done with the funeral we went back to his parent's house and there he gave me the cutest picture ever! (sorry I have to take it at an odd angle to avoid the lights glare)

He's Grandparents were like.... Cody how did you know your were going to marry her in '09? We all laughed. Its all computerized but I guess we'll have to start our own real family tree soon.
Cody's birthday was on Tues. Feb 17. Happy Birthday Coder! I took him to diner in the great town of Vernal.... We had fun! I gave him some sweet spurs and my parents gave him a shirt and Quincee gave him a pop gun. He is such a big kid, he enjoyed the pop gun must of all!
Then that Thursday I headed down to Richfield to my little sister's state basketball tourny. They ended up taking second... they should have done better but while we were down there, there was a little bridal shop which we decided to just check out. Its a good thing I did, I found the prefect dress! A couple weeks ago I went out to Provo and tried a few thousand on and didn't love any, but I love this one...... I'm so excited! Its a surprise so no pics!
Then last Saturday Cody and I went to diner with all this friends from Delta, it was so much fun! Since it was Cody's birthday we went and ate at Texas Road House by the South Town Center where they made him ride the Saddle! It was hillarious! One of his friends also had a birthday and they rode the little saddle together! And of course I forgot my phone and camera so there it no pics, just great memories! We had so much fun and we can't wait until we have all get together again!
Our lives wild and crazy right now with all the wedding plans, work and family plans. We're suppose to go ice fishing with all his family, so hopefully we won't fall through the ice!

May 16!

May is the perfect time for a wedding!

Thats right, we've chosen May 16 to be married in the Manti Temple.

We're going to have an open house in Delta that night and then another openhouse in Altamont on the 21(Thursday, I know, but its the only time we could get Hidden Springs).

I've had a million people want to know our engagement story, so here is it.

Cody and I have almost been dating for year and we knew that we'd eventually get married but we just took our time. Well around Christmas time we went and looked at rings and he found the perfect one! Its super awesomely pretty! (the picture doesn't do it justice!)

So I knew it was going to come sometime soon so I waited and waited. I was kinda getting impatient with the waiting thing so I asked him if he had the ring and he said the ring had to be custom made and would take up to three months! I was like dangit! So I said we need to make some plans and if we don't start we won't get the lodge for May. So he said... I'll just get you a cracker jack ring prize. I said all right as long as its big and big!

So on January 29 at my little sister's ball game, he came walking in with a box of munch and crunch (he couldn't find some cracker jack). I thought he seemed all little nervous but I just shrugged that off. He handed me the box and I thought he was just being a smartallic so I put the box down and conitued to watch Quincee's game. All of a sudden he was chowing down the crunch. He was like I'm going to find the prize before you... and still I didn't catch on. A few hand fulls later, he found the prize and pulled out a Ring Pop and continued to pull it out of the wrapper and get down one one knee... my face was so red! But I didn't know it was the real thing so i didn't go along with it..... so he got up and I ate the ring pop.

So we watched the rest of the game... Quincee's team won by the way, and we headed for home. I was still laughting about his little trick as we walked into my house, but he wasn't saying anything. So I turned around and there he was, bent onto one knee and there he asked me to marry him and I said YES! and he gave me that beautiful ring! I love it so much and I love him so much! I can't wait to start my life with him and be sealed to him forever!

But I guess the fun of planning a wedding begins... I'm not sure if its fun or not! But I'm sure everything will turn out great!

Well thats our story! I thought he's proposal was so cute and clever. Come to find out he was setting this whole thing up with Quincee and he thought I knew the whole time, so he last minutly had to come up with his real proposal. But I loved it and I was so surprised!

This is a picture of the Cod-man and I ice skating with Quincee, Rylan and their friends. I love pictures so so so much, I'm going to try and add a pic in every blog! We'll see if I succeed!
