Dear Santa, Please define GOOD!?

Dallie Jo was on the NICE List,
Now she's on the NAUGHTY List!

We had quite the day yesterday: 4 outfit changes, 2 crazy blow outs, 4 two second naps and lots of naughtiness! And to top it all off, she decided to trick us and pretend to go to bed at 8:30pm then wake up fresh and rejuvenated at 9pm. That's right, she thought it was time to play right as Cody and I were headed to bed.
I tried the usual feeding and then rocking but she smiled and laughed at me trying so hard to get her to sleep. I then gave her to Daddy to rock and she still refused to go to sleep. I put her in her swing, but she's just about maxed out the weight limit so it would barely swing and she sat and watched the butterflies and the lights on the mobile. So I turned off the lights and but she still knew where the butterflies were so she kept swatting at them. Finally at a last resort at 11:30 pm I put her in her bed and wrapped her up tight and went to bed. She didn't cry but she just cooed and then finally fell asleep... little stinker! It was a real wrestling match getting her to bed!

And now today... she's doing the same thing. I know she's tired but she's so ticked when I try to get her to sleep. Its a good thing she's so cute!

That's yours?

So before I had Dallie Jo, I had two callings in my ward: I was the 5 year old primary teacher and Cody and I are on the activities committee.
Right after I had Dallie Jo, I was released from my Primary calling and put into the Young Women's as the 1st counselor. Since I have a young baby, the President said if I would teach the lessons on Sunday she would cover the activities. (not sure if that's a fair deal. I really dislike teaching)
Anyways, last Tuesday we had our ward Christmas party, Hawaiian style, (SUPER FUN!) I helped decorate and the young women were nominated to serve the food. A couple of the girls in our young women's come to activities but not to church on Sunday so I had heard their name but didn't know them and they didn't know me. After we were done I was holding Dallie and thanking the young women for helping and one of less active girls, I'll call her Annie, said.... "Is she yours?" I replied, "Yes."  She then made my whole night better, she said, "You look too young to have a baby...."
THANK YOU Annie, You are now my favorite!

Chunky Monkey!

Today we had Dallie Jo's four month checkup.
She's 15.9 lbs and 24 inches long.
That means, she has grown one inch and gained almost 3 lbs since her two month checkup.

The Doctor said she is average for her height and even average in her weight. Ha ha,
She's not in the 90% in her weight like she was last time, just the 75%!
She didn't cry too hard from the shots this time around, just for a mintue then she was back to smiling.
She actually liked talking to Dr. Staker, he had her laughing and everything!

Thank Goodness for a Happy, Healthy, Baby Girl!

PS her hair is starting to come back in... and its coming in brownish RED!

4 Month

Happy 4 Months to my Dallie Jo!

10 New Things About Baby Jo:

1- She grabs everything! She's a strong girl and when I hold her, some how she always gets those little hands in knots in my hair!
2- When happy, she smiles so, so, so, so BIG and she blows bubbles with her mouth.
3- Still loves her bath, But getting alittle too big for her little blue bathtub.
4- Loves DADDY! Not new, but she's becoming more of a Daddy girl. Makes me jealous!
5- Her little legs are getting so strong. She loves to stand up tall 'like a big girl' right after she takes a nap.
6- EATS, EaTs, eAtS... I think it's almost time to start her on some solids. Come on, she's a growing girl!
7- Follows with her eyes so well. And her eyes are just a BLUE as Blue can be! Gets it from her Grandpas!
8- She's hasn't started to roll yet, but I think its coming. Actually, forget that, I think She'll sit up before she ever rolls. She HATES her Tummy!
9- Ate a gummy worm at Grandma Pehrson's and LOVED it. Later she up chucked it, but she liked it at the time.
10- When meeting a new person, she looks at them, then looks back at me to make sure its okay to talk to them... too Funny!

Just one more:
11- Even though she does love Daddy... Alot, I'm pretty sure she loves Mommy just as much!

Happy 4 Months Dallie Jo, We Love you SO SO SO Much!

Thanksgiving
weekend at the Pehrsons

This year was our year to haveThanksgiving at the Pehrson, We had a slow start to our weekend, DUE to some things missing but we finally made the drive to Delta on Wednesday. We love going to Delta and playing with the kids and visiting with our family. We were able to take Dallie Jo to see Santa, go to the movie Tangled with the neices and nephews, shoot some skeets and of course eat WAY too much!

Good Morning Beautiful!
Dallie Jo loved all the kids, she loved to just watch them running around and playing. But when it came to them crying, she's break down and cry for them. She's my tender hearted girl!

I'm too tired to sit on Santa's lap!

Cutest smile I've ever seen!

Baby Jo and cousin Kache the TANK!
He is three weeks younger than Dallie Jo, but he's a tank! Such a chunker, I'm pretty sure he weighs more than Dallie Jo but she's probably two inches taller.
Finally! Dallie Jo and the Jolly Man.
She didn't cry but we couldn't get her to smile. She wasn't too sure.

Overall, we had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa Pehrson's house. We were so glad we were able until Sunday! (I even got out of having to talk in church because we were in Delta)
Cody is the 'coolest' Uncle, so says the kids and the movie Tangled was SO cute! We loved it, and our nephew says, 'it was AWESOME'!

Now that Thanksgiving is over, BRING ON THE SHOPPING!
If only, I knew what to get everyone! Any suggestions?

Happy Holidays!

Christmas tree?!

  • Every year I usually like to have the Christmas Tree up before my birthday...
  • When I was younger it was a HAVE TO have the Christmas Tree up before my birthday.
  • This year, I decided to wait until it snowed.... Well that happened yesterday so I guess I'm putting up my Christmas Tree TODAY!
There is just something about the looks of a Winter Wonderland from the warmth of your home with the glow of a Christmas Tree...
