My lil copycat

This morning while watching the News, I rubbed by belly and said, "Ouch, stop kicking me baby!"

Dallie then responded "It kicked you?"

And since we all know that those little baby kicks aren't too painful but I played it up a bit and said, "Ouchy, Ouchy, Ouchy!"

Jo then proceeded to stand up on the couch and put her hand on my head and said " Heavenly father, help mommy amen."

I looked her puzzled and she said, "I put water on your head and make you feel better. You feel better mommy?"

I said, "Yes I feel much better. Thank you for the blessing." I then went on to explain that only Daddies and Grandpas that hold the priesthood can give blessing. She responded with, "Like Daddy and Wayne."

"Yes like Daddy and Wayne."

She is such a sweetheart and so wide eyed about everything! Just a week prior to this little experience my dad had to go in for some tests and had asked Cody and my brother in law Wayne to give him a blessing. So as a family we went down and watched them preform a blessing for my dad. After they were done, Dallie went up to my dad and said, "Gampa, what they do to you?" So he explained it to her and that is where she came up with her own little blessing this morning.

I am so grateful for a wonderful husband, dad and brother in law who are worthy to give blessing and who are willing to take time out of the lives to teach my lil girl.

She has really been questioning everything and copycats all our words, we really have to watch what we say and do. I said a bad word the other day and she said, "Mom we don't say that." Hmmmm I wonder where she heard that... Couldn't be me to Cody!

And this is why she can't go with me to the doctor any more... she tells everyone about what I have to do at the doc... like leave a sample in a cup... and how I did this... REAL embarrassing! Especially when its to a stranger in the store.

Food Storage

I found this list on a friend's FB page and thought I'd put it on my blog to remember.

Do you think it would work?

I really need to build by food storage up better. But we might have to add a few more weeks of Diet Mtn Dew! ha ha

Update

So I have 7 weeks left.. which means I am now down to going into the doc every two weeks... oh glory!

I have been so impatient this pregnancy. Its not the fact that I've been sick this whole time and get heart burn from eating an apple (well actually..) or the fact that it was supppppper hot the last couple weeks  in August, and I had to stop riding horses, or that fact that we are so excited! But its really because not knowing the baby's gender is starting to drive me nuts. Not so nuts that I'd go find out what it is, but driving me nuts cuz I don't know to buy or plan for.

I'm a planner. I like having the bags packed, the baby's clothes ready, car seats installed and some new blankets made. And with this baby I really can't do that. So with that said, I have been searching for fabrics and out fits that could be called gender neutral... well there aren't many! So I guess if it is a boys he really might be wearing pink!

Ever since we decided not to find out, I have been really super duper excited! Its fun not knowing but nerve racking all at once. Jo jo kept saying it's a girl and now her name is Kooper; but just this last weeks she's been telling everyone its a boy named Kooper... So I guess if she has it her way the baby will be named Kooper either way! (We'll see, Daddy keeps saying he doesn't like it because its a tire brand.. Lame!)

This pregnancy keeps getting weirder and weirder... with Jo I was only sick for the first 15 weeks but I've been sick this whole time. If I didn't have my wonder nausea pills then I would die! and this baby is always moving and grooving all day long. Its like I have a jumping bean in my stomach! Just last night, we had a family movie night in our bedroom and Jo got to sleep all night in my bed, me on the other had left and went and slept in her bed. I have little elbows and feet kicking inside my stomach while I have Jo's elbows and feet  to my head and back.

So with the fact that I haven't been able to buy too much I guess we're saving money. But I have been busy making some photo props. I'm pretty excited for newborn pics. I've crocheted some little chaps and a western skirt for a girl. Along with these two items I'm going to crochet a cowboy hat and booties (the booties are super hard, so maybe I'll con that onto someone else. As for the hat, its not too hard.)

All in all, the last couple weeks have been alot better than in August. With all the rain and cooler weather its been alot more bearable. I have been getting more and more braxton hicks contractions and back pain but that is expected when coming down to the due date.

So EXCITED!

I asked Dallie Jo what she wanted to be when she grew up.
After a few seconds of thinking she said... BIG!

Duh mom! You get big when you grow up!

Such a simple and cute answer... from our simple and cute girl!

4th of July

July 4, 2013
Better late then never!
This year for the 4th of July, Cody ended up having to work so we make any plans so we were delighted when we were invited over to the Marx' to have a little bbq and fireworks.
Wayne made us the best ribs and we watched and watched and watched fireworks from all angles of Ashley's house. Seriously, I haven't seen so many fireworks from so many different houses in my life.

I always try to get Jo to give me a cute little smile and this is usually what her smiles look like.
She's quite the little ham

Thanks Ash and Wayne for the good food and entertainment!

Kaylee and Kjell Pehrson

So there was this boy and there was this girl that fell in love and got married, August 17, 2013 was their special day.
We were more than excited for Cody's youngest brother Kjell when we found out he had finally popped the question to his sweetheart Kaylee. She fits into the Pehrson family so well and ALL the kids love her. Jo is constantly asking about her, and praying for her and asking to call her.
And boy did they have a fun, busy and exciting wedding weekend. It all started on Wednesday night for us when we left for Delta at 9:30pm to arrive in Delta at 1:30am.

The next day we got up and helped Cody's mom and dad start decorating their yard for an open house Friday night and then that afternoon we left for Richfield to pick up the reception table and chairs and then headed to Manti to do a session at the temple at which Kaylee received her own endowment. We got home at about 11 that Thursday night and hit the sack so we could be rest up for a long day of decorating Friday.
And we had a long day for sure! We started early decorating, and ended late undecorating. I kept teasing Kjell telling him that I hadn't even made that many decorations for my own wedding. Its a good thing I like him and Kaylee. Lets just say the reception turned out so cute and creative. All Gma Carrie's hard work came together and it looked good. Here are a few of the decorations we came up with:

And I was able to swipe one of the backdrop flower arrangements and it still loooks super cute on my front door!

My laundry room looked so gloomy with out 30 of these decorated bottles and flowers on my counter tops. But I was glad to have the room back!

Sign in table. Thanks to my Aunt Ellen for the pic hanging idea

I fell in love with these pillows. Some day I'm going to learn how to cross stitch better and make myself some. They were of all the 12 months of the year

My sweet girl! She was such a big girl all weekend and pretty much took care of herself while we decorated. She had to take a pic with her little statue friend!
I do have to admit, this pregnant lady was so happy I wasn't any more pregnant at the end of this day. I was so tired that by the time I went to bed I don't remember even waking up at all... which is a big deal for a pregnant woman! haha

The next day was the big day! We had to be up to the Oquirrah Mtn Temple at 9:30 which required us to get up super early and drive up North.
Jo was so tired!
It  was a bit windy at the temple but Jo didn't care she still looked so cute!

It was so cute, as soon as the happy couple came out of the temple, Jo was the first to run up to them. She loves them!

Cutie Lexie.
Lex was pretty much the only grandchild that would participate in pics.

All the Pehrson grand kids. Ashley P and I said we should have stuck our belly's in the pic but that might have been a little weird... haha

After the temple we hit the road once again to go to the luncheon in Pleasant Grove at which we ate our selves to death and then headed to the Spanish fork reception and then back to Delta.

By the time Sunday morning came, we were all exhausted! 4 nights of late nights was a bit much for us. We enjoyed being able to sleep in and then took our time cleaning up the rest of Gma Carrie's yard.
Wagon ride. Jo said she thought mom and dad's horses could pull it... she wanted us to go get our horses so we could go on a longer ride.

All in all it was a great weekend. We were so happy for the newlyweds and ever since that day Dallie has asked to call Kaylee, but I wasn't sure if the honeymooners wanted to be disturbed in Hawaii! (so lucky!)

Baby #2 3D Ultrasound

Today I went in for my 3D ultrasound and 29 week checkup. The doc said everything seems fine and I'm now down to 3 week appointments and the start of the 3rd trimester! YEAH!

So... Usually I think 3D ultrasounds are a bit freaky, but I was pleasantly surprised how much this baby looks like 'it's' older sister! And yes, 'it' is still an 'it'. I told Cody I was half temped to find out the gender but we've gone 29 weeks, so whats another 11?  So for now we'll just call it "Golly" since that's what Jo says we should name 'it'.

With this baby, I have had major, major heartburn and have already started having braxton hick contractions. And the ultrasound proved that Golly has hair. So maybe the whole, 'if you have bad heartburn then the baby has lots of hair' could be true.

And just like Dallie this baby didn't want to cooperate with pictures. It's little hands were continually crossed across its face and it would roll the opposite way we needed it to be.

Tiny toes
I thought the fee looked huge but its really one foot on top of the other

And this baby has the same squished nose as Jojo!
Aren't those the most perfect lips all puckered up?

I decided to do a quick comparison of Jo's pics to 'Golly's' pics, so here you go. Baby #2 is the upper and Jo is lower.

I simply can not wait to meet this baby. Every time I see my little sister's baby I get more and more excited. It makes me sad to see summer fly by so fast but at the same time I feel like Nov couldn't come fast enough!

11 more weeks people, 11 more weeks!
