Last night after leaving walmart with a screaming, hungry, smelly baby and a wild, energetic three yr old, let's just say my nerves were shot, my patience thin and to add to it it was freezing out.
I loaded the girls in the truck, Coop still screaming, and went to the back of the truck to load the groceries. To my surprise, as I opened the tailgate all Cody's welding rods fell out. Everywhere! Trying to remain calm I quickly loaded the truck, picked up the rods and went to console my kiddies.
Once in the truck I changed Coop, started to feed her. Dallie was in seat begging for drink and I couldn't find my phone that was ringing. And to my husband's dismay I was late to pick him up. As I was impatiently waiting for coop to finish I told Dal that we were never coming back to town again cuz she was running around the store like a wild women not listening to her mom!
Awe! What a night!
Cooper was finally done eating and I stuck her back in her seat and to add to the perfectness of the night, I was child locked in! I had to climb over the seat to get out! Grr! I had, had enough!
I turned on the radio and headed for home. The cd that was playing was Dallie's primary cd, 'I Lived In Heaven'. My nerves started to subside (a little)
Then as we rounded the corner toward the Vernal twists, Dal sweetly said, "Mom do you think Jesus held on to his mom's shopping cart at Walmart? Or did he run around like me?" My head stopped and I just started to laugh! She was so serious!
I explained that Jesus was a good boy and mostly likely did what his mom told him todo. And that we need to all try to be like him! She sheepishly replied, "Sorry mom, I will try to be better."
Oh sweet girl! She does have a heart! She does listen! Oddly enough, I wasn't completely crazy any more and the drive home was pretty great, spending some one on one talking with my bug!
