San Deigo

Let me just start with, we had a fabulous vacation!
We started our Pehrson family vacation by going to San Deigo to Sea World. Yes, I'm 25 and have never been to California let alone Sea World and I thought it was pretty fun!
Pretty much the whole trip this is the site I saw... Cody and Jo walking off in front of me. Its not fair his legs are a mile long and mine are shorties! But its not too bad of a site if I say so myself. :)
Jo couldn't get enough of everything. She would yell HEY and point at everything.
She was speechless at the whales jumping out of the water.
She was too funny!
Feeding the sea lion.
The little hand at the very bottom of the picture is poor Kohlbin, he was just about to drop his fish to the sea lion when a greedy little bird swooped down and snatched it out of his hand. I wish I would have had a picture of his face... he was shocked! haha
Dancing with the lions
The girls... minus me!
There is so much to see at Sea World and the kids loved it. I would definitely recommend it!

After Sea World we decided to head to the temple... We were in a real rush to get there thinking the last session was at 6:00 pm but upon arrival, it was five minutes to six we were greeted by the temple president who calmed our nervous by telling us there was indeed one more session! So with a little time to spare we were able to slow down and take in the true beauty of the temple. AND we got some special treatment if I say so myself... after our session we were shown around the temple by the temple president. He told us about the building, engineering and decorating of the temple. We were truly blessed to be able to a make the temple and had such a special moment inside.

Yay!

Okay people,
to say I am excited about our cruise... is an understatement!
Its been a long two years waiting for this trip and we are so, so, so very lucky to be going with all Cody's family to such a beautiful place.

Just think, in less than a week, we'll be here:

Go Jazz Go!

Yesterday we were lucky enough to score some Jazz game against the Minnesota Timber wolves and invited Gma and Gpa Pehrson so come play with us.
So as we all know, it has been unusually warm and snow less this year in UT but of course on the day when we actually have plans... it snows. And by snows I mean snowed hard and alot in Strawberry and Heber which made for a very, very long drive to SLC. Its a good thing we have such a great little girl and a movie system in our truck to keep her occupied in all the snowy, messy, totally uneventful (wink, wink) drive.

We did a little shopping and took Miss Jo to Cabelas for the first time and she loved it! She was blowing kisses to the animals, waving, smiling and yelling at them. Who need Disneyworld when Lehi has Cabelas?! haha PS did I mention that she was trying to kiss the fish through the glass...?

We then went to diner at TX Roadhouse (of course!) and headed to the game. I thought Jo might be a tired mess because she had only a half hour nap; but she was so good! She would clap for the dancers, and for the ball players and she was showing off for the people around her. The game was pretty good, and when the Jazz won and the banners and streamers went flying, she was in heaven! I do have to say she was the cutest little Jazz fan there!

After prying Jo out of Grandpa Dave's arms, (She kept blowing kisses and saying by to Cody and I cuz she wanted to go home with the Grandparents) we were on our way home. Which turned into another long drive.

After trying to go home over Parley's Canyon and having to go all the way back down to Provo Canyon due to canyon closures, we made it home safely, tired and very happy to have had such a good time!

AND like always I forgot our camera so no picts but just know we had a great time!

2012

Goals for 2012
- Have fun and enjoy life. It seems like last year we just hussled by and didn't really sit and enjoy what we have in front of us. We have so enjoyed having Jo but she is growing so fast that I wish we could just slow time down and enjoy these years of seeing her grow and learn. I heard a guy in the store say, the first 5 years of a kids life we tell them to walk and talk and the next 25 years we tell them the sit down and shut up... So true.
- Get Healthy. Exercise and eat healthy
- Potty Train Dallie Jo. She's off to a pretty good start. We're 6 for 8 times that we have taken her to the potty. I didn't want to push the subject cuz I didn't want her to get in a  good 'going' routine and then go on vacation and mess it all up.
- Keep saving money. Along with saving money for our house, I'd like to be able to make a better budget and stick to it.
- Keep up on chores. I try to always have a clean house when Cody gets home from work, and when we go to bed because its so much nicer to wake up to a clean house but as the holidays have come and gone I've kinda been slacking...
- Try new recipes. Cody isn't really a fan of me trying new things (cuz they usually don't work) Well I want to try a new recipe at least once a month or once a week.
- Gain more patience. Planning, saving and organizing to build a house has proved to be a patience braker! So I need to gain/learn more patience in waiting for our house.

2012 has already started off well. We have a great vacation to Mexico planned, we have broke ground on our house and hopefully our drawings will be finished by the end of the month. AND my sister is suppose to have her little boy the first of Feb, yep that's right, I'll probably be in Mexico when little Gudger is born.

Dallie Jo has learned so much this month. She is trying to talk, she's picking up on words so well! She is climbing on everything and is a little teaser! She's still attached to her binky, but we'll work on that when we get back from our long drive to Cali. She loves to play with other kids, expecially the older kids. We went to a little cookie and milk party to our neighbors and she would rather watch and play with the older kids than with the little boys her age. And she has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger, she brings a candy to him and says peeeeease and of course he has to give it to her because she said please!

Cody is still very busy at work. He is going on his second year with Anadarko and seems to like it. He dreams of hunting anything and everything and had a pretty good time going ice fishing with his Dad over Christmas. He is the best daddy and it is so cute seeing him and Jo playing tractors and animals. They are best buds.

And I have been just the same. Over Christmas I decided to try and make most of the presents I was going to give away and for the most part I did, and I wore myself out! I love to craft and make stuff for others but 10 towels, and seven hats later I had, had enough crafting for that month! Here are a few pics of my projects:

Well that's about all for now. We're just plugging along lovin life and this cute little girl. I seriously don't know what we would ever do with out her, yep her and her little attitude!

Picture catch up

So I'm really good at taking pics and never taking them off our camera so we're going to have a picture catch up.

Sitting on SANTA'S Lap... I mean stool
Seriously this was probably the poorest Santa's helper I've seen.. who doesn't let the kids sit on their laps? Lame!

And Jo thought he was pretty lame too! haha
That is until he gave her a candy cane and then all was well!

Jax and Jo
These two are too funny, they are the best of friends and love to play with each other. Jaxie tries so hard to keep up with Jo and she does a pretty good job at it.  They actually play together pretty well, well that is until they both want the same toy!

Sophie and Dallie Jo
We were able to have a little diner date with the Calls before they moved to Texas. Sophie is such a calm little girl compared to Jo. She just sat and ate her diner and Jo was all over the place. It was good being able to catch up with Leandra and Jesse, We'll have to take a vacation to TX to visit them while Jess is still in school.

Kisses good bye!

Ponytails
This was the first time I was able to put piggy tails in her hair. They are so cute, if only she would leave them in.  And Jo still loves to draw. She draws on pictures, books, mom's leg.... One night I was doing dishes and I felt her playing down by my feet and I thought she was just trying to tickle me, well actually she was drawing on my pants with a permanent marker! Little stinker!

A Skittle for a Piddle?

A Skittle for a Piddle.... I think so!

So for Christmas Jo got the best present ever... a potty! and Well we haven't really been pushing the subject (well at least until we get back from Mexico) but she has been doing pretty well! In the mornings I take her to the potty and she usually goes and at night before her bath she goes. And Yesterday she even told me she needed to go by taking me to the bath room and pointing to her potty. The best part is she feels so happy and accomplished when she goes, her little potty sings a song when it gets wet and she starts clamping and is ready for her treat.

SUCH A LITTLE SMARTY!

(Who knew that such a little thing would make this Mamma so Happy!)
