Today me being the law abiding citizen I am, full filled my civil duty of appearing for jury duty...
Which lasted for about an hour and half then the case was dismissed.
To be perfectly honest, I kinda wanted to be picked, weird I know. There's just something exciting about sitting in a case... you know the exciting, juicy ones! Actually, if going to find a babysitter and drive to Duchesne I might as well make a day out of it.
The thing that gets me is if they are going to dismiss the case they should do that before they make twelve people take off work, find babysitters, and take time out of their day to drive to the court house. My gas guzzling truck most likely used more in gas to get down there than the amount they 'award' you for full filling your civil duty (They repeatedly tell you that while your waiting, its in the video they make you watch and on the postcard which so very nicely tells you have to show up or you get jail time or a $1000 fine!)
Well that's all, just wanted to vent for a minute... I guess I'm off for another 2 years before they call me full fill my civil duty again.

Once again...
Once again these cute pics were lost and forgotten on my camera.
That seems to be the case these days, I either forget to take my camera all together or the pics get stored on it for how knows how long!
I do believe these were from the 4th of July in Delta.
Dallie had alot of fun playing in the pool at Grandma Carrie's house. It was the perfect day, not too hot (Delta gets pretty hot) and it was slightly overcast so she didn't get fried from the sun.
Daddy, Dallie and Uncle Trav
She would dive under the water if we'd let her
I can't believe how much she has changed since then!
She was a complete gummer in this pic and now she has six teeth...

1... Year... Old!
Happy, Happy Birthday Baby!
We had such a fun time at Miss Jo's birthday party, and we were so lucky to have so many of our family members come and play!
We had a little BBQ, ate watermelon, ate cupcakes, watched Dallie Jo get. Totally. Spoiled. Rotten...
Seriously you would have thought it was Christmas in August!
Miss Jo got so many fun toys and she actually plays with them! YEAH!
Cody and I got her a little Smart trike that grows with her and she just feels like a big girl cruising around.
When we went to pick out her present, I wanted to get her a baby doll so bad, there were so many cute ones. but dad said no. Luckily Kohlbin and Kashe gave her one! She carries it around, kisses it, huggs it, rocks it and when she is tired of it she.... throws it! ha ha What a good Mommy she is, I promise she didn't learn that from me!
She also got alot of puzzles, clothes, shoes, a blowing ball game and a match up barn that she LOVES too!
We just went to the pavilion by our church and it was great weather.
I was so excited plan her party, I had so much I wanted to do and make but only a few ideas were finished.
It still looked pretty cute for a church pavilion.
Miss Jaxie Dawn, just looking so cute!
Coder is the best BBQer... ever!
And he looks so handsome doing it!
Mr. Kohlbin and Grandpa Gary
K-man is such a poser, we asked him to smile and this is what we got! Too Funny!
Dallie, Grandma Carrie and Kashe the TANK!
Auntie Ry and Miss Jo
Jo would go from one plate to another plate beggin for food.
Look at those baby blues!
I'm 1, and its my party,
And I'll cry if I want to!
Dallie Jo would much rather eat watermelon than cake...
Jaxie is always willing to help!
Ashley and Jax
Seriously... she loves that doll. I think its because Daddy said she couldn't have one... ha ha
Sponge FIGHT!
Cleanest birthday girl and for sure the cutest!
Tired MOMMY!
Thanks everyone for coming and thank you so much for the awesome gifts! I really appreciate not having to entertain her ever second of the day, she actually plays for a little while by herself and doesn't completely pull everything out of our cupboards!
Happy Birthday Miss Jo!
Now just stop growing up...

Maybe someday!
Maybe someday I'll get Dallie Jo's birthday pictures up, but right now probably not. We have been so busy!
-Well Dallie Jo and I have been busy Swimming! I decied to do the Mom and Tot swimming lessons which went from August 1-11. They were pretty fun for the first week... the second week she got kinda tired, so we only went one day... and she had cold. But the last day we went she would put her whole head under for a little bit and then she'd come back up.. Pretty good for a one year old!
-Aug. 4 I took her in for her one year old shots. She weighs 21.7 pounds, and she's 29 inches long. The doc said she's 50% in her age group. She went from 75% to 50% in her weight; I guess her walking and running everywhere has been good for her! She did pretty well with her shots; she cried for a minute then they gave her a sucker and all was well!
-Last weekened Aug 5-7, we went camping with the whole Mathews clan and had a great time. Its a change taking a baby camping... so much more to worry about and sleeping in a tent is whole lot harder and I seriously worried the whole time about a bear coming and eating Miss Jo! ha ha
-While camping, within the first hour of being up there, Dallie Jo was pushing a little bike around and well the bike stopped and she didn't and her little cheek hit the ground while her body stayed highcentered on the bike. Her poor little cheek instantly bruised!
-Last Wednesday Aug. 14, we went and watched the stock show in Duchesne. We were kinda sad that Rylan didn't show this year because she rocked it last year! It so fun listening to Cody and seeing how much he LOVES stock show... Seriously he's a stock show junky!
-And yesterday we went and watched the horse pulls and go to the petting zoo at the fair again. Dallie would clap her hands for the horses and wave at everyone. At the zoo, she didn't want to pet anything BUT the horse. Not the goat, or the sheep, or the elbaca (seriously those things are ugly!). She would only pet the mini horses and the other horses; and when the Mule let out a bae she just about jumped out of her skin! She didn't know what the heck was going on!
-Now this week... I have been asked to come back to work at the vision clinic and help train their new lab tech. I'm kinda excited to get out but Miss Jo and I have so much fun... But I guess one or two weeks won't hurt us.
We hope you all are having a great Summer, before long its going to be FALL! I love the fall colors but autumn just leads to Winter.... And I'm not looking forward to having a long Winter like last year!

Happy Birthday BABY!
I'm 1!
Where did this year go?! I can't believe it, she can't really be one year old!
This morning, as I got up, I was thinking of how just last year on a Sunday morning I was able to hold my beautiful baby girl for the first time. After a day and half of contractions we met Miss Jo on 8-1-10 at 10:04 am, and she couldn't have been more perfect. She was a healthy 8.8 pounds and 19 3/4 inches long. Things I remember from labor:
-I had to beg Daddy to take me in, he thought it was a false alarm.
-Walking to the OB, I had to stop 3 times in between contractions before I could continue on.
-Daddy forgot to push record on the video camera.
-While pushing, we were watching a music video on CMT.
-My grandma didn't believe we had actually had her until she heard her cry.
-Our parents were at church and we couldn't get hold of them until after and my grandma had to track mine down at church.
-It was pretty weird to see just how big she really was... she was alot bigger than I thought she would be.
-That first cry was MAGICAL! Really!
-Time seemed to stop when I first held her, I remember looking up at Cod and saying, "She's all ours!"
She has been such a great baby and we love her more and more each day.
Who would have thought that such a small little girl could change your life in such a BIG way.
We are truely so blessed to have her! I don't know what I'd do without her. What I do know is, this year has been the best and we sure love her!
At one year old she:
-Walks! as of the first of July she started walking by herself and my poor apartment hasn't been messier!
-She's FULL of kisses! Especially when Daddy gets home!
-Walks! as of the first of July she started walking by herself and my poor apartment hasn't been messier!
-She's FULL of kisses! Especially when Daddy gets home!
-She has 5.5 teeth, three/almost four on top and two on bottom.
-She thinks she's so big. Instead of playing with the babies, she follows the big kids around trying to keep up with them.
-When she hear music in the morning she dances.
-She went her first trail ride. We rode around the lake up at Moon Lake. She did a great job until the last little bit when she fell asleep, I guess the bumpy trot just rocked her to sleep. She loves that Sadie Dog too, she would have fallen off the horse trying to watch her running down the trail.
-She loves babies, and poor Jaxie Dawn gets more slobbery kisses than anyone!
-She loves her Daddy more and more... She's so excited when he gets home and especially when he shares his ice cream with her.
-She can suck through a straw... Big accomplishment, she doesn't leave as many floaters with a straw.
-She pretends to talk on the phone. She says HI and kisses it when talking to Daddy, Gma and Gpa.
-She had her first eye appointment. She did pretty well and Dr. W said she is well beyond her age in tracking objects... Good Job Jo!
-She says: mamma, dadda, hi, cookie, dink (drink), sometimes is sounds like she says Sadie, Ryry (Rylan), gmammama (Grandma), and the other day I could have sworn she said Minute. (I'm always saying, "Just a minute, Jo, just a minute.")
- She's Daddy's little SWEETHEART and My LUV BUG!
Happy, Happy Birthday JoJo!

July!
JULY=FUN and Busyness!
July is almost over and I haven't even blogged about all the fun we've been having. Since I'm really good at forgetting my camera; I have very little/no pics to show for the fun!
June 31-July 1 Gma and Gpa Pehrson and Keegan and Lexie came to stay with us. We had a pretty good time! It pretty much rained the whole time but it was fun trying to keep the kids entertained. Jo loves her cousins!
July 2- My little sister got married! Yes that's right, She's now any Old Married Women! They had a little family wedding and then headed to Texas. (her hubby is going to school down there!) We sure miss them but they seem very happy! We're crossing our fingers that they are able to transfer up here, but if they don't I guess now I have excuse to take a little vacation to TX! Welcome to the family Brandon!
July 4th weekend- Delta celebrations. We watched the great parade of derby cars and tractors, went to the derby to watch Uncle Kjell's purple truck get smashed, fireworks after the derby and enjoyed the weekend with Gma and Gpa Pehrson.
July 8- Miss Jo decided she was Walking Miss Jo. No more finger grabbing for her, she's a big girl!
July 8 and 9- We took Miss Jo to the Dinosaur Roundup Rodeo and she loved it! She kept yelling yaaaaaahhh and clapping her hands. She also had her first sleep over at Gma Mathews' house... alone! That's right we got a full night of sleep! As for my parents, I don't think I can say the same.
July 22- We went to a Bee's game in SLC. It was pretty fun! the Bee's needed alittle help but we had AWESOME seats enjoyed the drunk lady yelling at the batter.... HEY BATTER, BATTER, BATTREEERR! Yep, now thats a good time!
July 23- Longhorn days! We only went to the parade but it was pretty cute. Rylan and her friend dressed up in their mermaid fins and won 1st place in the parade. They looked pretty cute! That afternoon we packed up the horses and went for a ride around Moon Lake. Miss Jo did pretty well until the last little bit and she fell asleep... My arms were just a little sore from holding her on Mr Peppy. He knew he was headed home so he jigged down the mountain.
And this weekend on July 30 we are going to have a little parthy for Miss Jo's Birthday! Cody's family is coming to town and I wanted them all to be here for her birthday...
The only pics I have to show for this month are the ones of her one year old photo shoot on the 8. I can't believe how much she has changed since the first of this month... Here you go Quinc!
Recognize this saddle? It was Grandpa Brent's when he was little!
She's so CUTE, Isn't she!?!
